Pheromones in PvP

So,

I’ve been testing the Pheromones Legendary in PvP inside the 9.1 PTR server. It seems to give be a way bigger burst than any other Leggo, since popping Unholy Assaut + Death and Decay puts me close to 60% Haste and 35% Mastery for around 10 seconds.

If you use Grip of the dead 90% slow plus Defile you basically get a 17% bonus haste every 10 seconds. Which makes applying Necrotric a lot easier and valuable.

Any chances we might be seeing Unholy running this set up alongside A warr or Monk that can stunt people to keep them inside the Defile?

If you’re doing this would you not prefer to go NF though? Which isn’t ideal.

It’s a respectable combo, but requires a legendary + talent that are both sub-optimal on their own.

Frenzied Monstrosity syncs perfectly with your kill potential.
Lets face it, you’re probably not securing wins outside of your DT anyways. Your combo takes more resources and is ground based AOE, which is always risky in PVP.

Even the slowest classes in the game, DK and Warlock, have ways to escape D&D (even with 90% slow) if they’re worried about dying.

If you’re playing around D&D you also put yourself in very predictable positions, as you’re playing around a small ring on the floor.
If you’re not away Warlocks and Mages are getting brand new AOE ground based PVP talents (ring of fire, a mass teleport, physical barriers, knock backs) that would counter D&D quite heavily, ontop of existing tools like Dark Fury, Ring of Peace and Ring of Frost.

Finally, you lose your hard stun.

It’s one of those great in theory bad in practice scenarios.

Asphyxiate is too good to lose and DnD radius is very small, people have an easy time moving out of Hollowed Ground which has a big radius. Play your character and the game the way you want, however it’s just not good.

Also a tip, stunning someone in DnD is much better than a slow, you could even dr stun after your stun, much more effective.
