I really don’t want to heal or to tank this expansion, it’s too much responsibility and people treat healers and tank in a very selfish way (although that’s nothing new).
Right now, in terms of “fun”, which class between rogue/warlock/mage/hunter/warrior (yeah I know warrior is not a pure dps spec but still two dps specs) is the most fun to play? Some tell me that rogue is quite alright although a bit poor in torghast, others tell me that lock is just boring right now, same for mage and hunter.
The funny thing is that the funniest dps specs to play seem to be hybrid dps specs for me (at the very least for me, again): ret paladin, balance druid, windwalker monk, shadow priest, fury warrior, elemental shaman, enhancement shaman… I sometimes wonder if they do that (bringing more interesting mechanics to hybrid classes) to avoid having everyone focus on the pure DPS classes, but that’s just me and my tinfoil hat speaking.
to be honest, pick whatever you want. you can play druid and still only play moonkin/feral without having to ever touch heal/tank spec. same goes for the other hybrid classes. only because they have a tank/heal spec doesnt mean you are expected to play them.
if you think shaman is fun, go for shaman. retri paladin tickles your fancy? go right ahead.
fun is pretty much subjective. one might think rogues are fun, others dont.
i always just pick whatever i want to play and is fun to me.
Fun is highly subjective, so you won’t find straight answer anywhere.
Imo bm and mm are most fun specs atm imo, and demo lock, even tho the damage is pretty lacking.
Don’t pick a Rogue unless you can deal with a squishy class. In case you do, stay away from Outlaw- Take Subtlety for PVE&PVP or Assassin just for PVP
And as for the Hybrid topic- now that I think of it hybrids indeed seem more fun. Shammy, Pally and DK are the ones I’ve tried so far and I am honestly hooked
Fun is very subjective what class you find fun the person next to you might not want to play at all.
Like DH lots of people praise it to high heavens how fun it is but i find both specs of it the most boring things the game has from specs them self to races you can play.
I personally like Shadow Priest… It feels really nice to do outstanding dmg with still small ilvl, and its really fun to play it. If I wanna heal I’ll go disc, but mostly I play shadow. Maybe you should try it out
