Well, pistols are the one cool thing Hunters should have but don’t. I am talking about a new weapon kind, like bows, crossbows e.t.c. The “guns” one is for rifles so a brand new kind called “Pistols” would be ideal. But lets get into it.
Outlaw Rogues have an ability called Between the Eyes and they get a pistol out of their pocket and fire. How about this becomes a new kind of one-handed ranged weapon for the Hunters? Only three animations are required: Aiming, Firing and Reloading. These animations should look like Assassin’s Creed ones.
Also, since in Shadowlands you intend to make Class Trainers useful again (as Ion said on an interview), hunters should also be able to learn dual wield for pistols (for a price, and of course, no practical change would happen, just for the appearence, since that’s the case with all the different kinds of ranged weapons).
So that’s pretty much what I am proposing about pistols, and it would be awsome if they joined the game some time. Thanks for reading!
Would hunters be the only ones that can use them? Are they close ranged or longer ranged. If more classes can use them how would it work with the current specs.
It’s a cool idea, but implementing it could be quite the challenge.
Especially if it’s for more classes, which it should be if a new weapon type is added.
Side note: Demon hunters worked with new weapons because they started at higher lvls. Hunters start at lvl 1, would pistols be max level only?
Yes, yes, yes.
Giving the option to tweak the class fantasy would do wonders for an outlaw rogue.
That’s only because of Outlaw Rogue though, which came out of left field to begin with.
But I agree it invades that fantasy.
I would love to see dual-wielding cross bows though. But then that would probably have to extend to duel-wielding pistols too.
I just love the D3 implementation of DH’s.
