Every map in the game got it’s own atmosphere and I hope we can build our homes anywhere in wow zones.
I hope they learned they lesson from WOD garrisons
and this time it’s gonna be proper
It’s past midnight where is that player housing you were talking about?
so garrson 2.0 great good for make gold
How dare u ruin my race to world first house decoration content??
Sound’s amazing but I’ve been hyped before so… let’s just wait!
Achievement earned: You have washed 10 dishes and emptied the bins
Honestly, there are exactly 2 options here.
-
Blizzard knocks the ball into the next universe and players still complain because their personal favorite little detail isn´t implemented yet.

Players will never be happy, but Blizzard can not afford to screw this up as long as they´ve been working on it (in some way, shape, or form since beta), and aslong as it´s been demanded and at times even lightly teased…
Option 3, failure, is simply not an option this time around. Tha´s why we haven´t gotten more han a teaser and a general timeframe of "between 2026 and 2028 (i.e.d uring teh midnight expansion)… they´ve not going to lock this down until it´s as close to perfect as it can realistically be.
Because it won´t appease players no matter how awesome it is, at best it will probably get rewarded with “Well it´s about fraking time!!”… but if they actually do it right, it´s just one more evergreen feature to keep people engaged = subbed, and the inevitable collection aspect has the potential to open up a whole new world of content to (re)run…
And yet, they say the size doesn’t matter…
I hope it will be realistic like irl, would be hilarious. Paying for heat, water and electricity.
You’re Horde and an Orc.
You do realize that the most realistic for you, would be to get a mud hut that can be decorated with straw.
Do orcs look that rich to you?
Location: Next to the pig sty.
Orc can learn/evolve too!
And Vulpera looking forward to what? Some kind of old wheelbarrow or cart to carry your cardboard boxes around, hobo style?
I mean, Vulpera lore is to be nomadic.
Man, Blizzard are going to shoehorn this “housing” so hard.
Ok so I’ll start with saying that player housing is rather irrelevant/uninteresting to me but I’m really happy for people who love it. You guys finally get that after… 20 years lol (maybe).
What I’m a bit concerned about are 2 things.
- The release cycle already is way shorter than it used to be AND they try to release absolutely 100% brand new featrues on top of that?
I’m sorry but looking at TWW and the bug fiesta we’re having, this is bound to utterly fail. Not necessarily the feature itself, even though I think it will most likely feel very incomplete at release but everything else about this game will probably suffer.
Blizzard has less developers, while shortening content AND expansion launches, while introducing more and more systems and features into the game. I’m not happy about this. I actually wish they’d take things more slowley. They CLEARELY need more development time than they’re getting.
TWW should be a warning. I’ve never played a more bug infested expansion than TWW and I’ve been playing WoW since Vanilla release.
- If we’re honest, this will end up with the store offering 1500 housing items for a mere 5$/10$ each. Just more microtransactions.
Nov 21, if I am correct, so it might be 22 for the old continent.
I’d die for customizable carts/wagons,. ngl
wow cool a place to go afk.
how exciting.
that players are wanting a garrison 2.0 is just beyond me.
there is absolutely nothing fun about it and most likely it will cost money for customisations and then the next crap storm arrives
Sure.
But if it’s supposed to tie into the story and the general world building of the game, then each race should have its own style of home and location.
Which was also the initial plan for The Garrison, until Blizzard realized what a gargantuan task that would be.
And if you read player feedback, then a lot of players are dreaming about something very aesthetically pleasing or inspired by a generic nice looking house from another game.
But story and lore wise, in WoW, the cozy house shown in the trailer with the fireplace and chair and a little rug? That’s really just for Humans. Blizzard would have answered some questions if they had shown the Orc house, the Vulpera house, or the Dracthyr house.
But they didn’t.
