Player housing - we don't need it, thanks

Its not a topic that revvs me up with excitement.
I think a player housing patch would be lost on me personally
I just wouldn’t interact with it, not out of spite or anything, but just because it doesn’t tickle my interest

As someone who has actually played a considerable amount of FF14 the entire player housing thing always passed over me. I mean some people can make pretty amazing stuff in FF14 but for me, I bought an apartment and then got a room in my guild house and while it did entertain me for a day to dress it up and marvel in it then after that one day I really didn’t give a damn about it anymore. I mean it’s cool if it’s there but it’s not something that would ever make or break a game for me.

Been playing like 100 years. Never did but 2 mythis runs ever on a 1 and 5 key. Most boring dog garbage EVER. EEEEEEEVER. Can’t see any point why anyone would want to waste a second of their life doing the same boring dungeons over and over.

Same with challenging raiding, huge target dummies with trillions of life, zzzzzz.
Only good raids are legacy raids that you can solo, no worry about micromanaging a 40 man kindergarten group with drama and loot spam and communication mess and no breaks and no loot and so much time wasted jesus christ.

And the garrison and 4 other points you started with are the best potential for good content, they just did a BAD JOB at them, poorly designed, wrong execution and direction.

I do think they should be doing more for those areas of the game, more dungeons and more battlegrounds and possibly more raids (maybe smaller ones like Obsidian Sanctum etc.).

But I would add another area of the game that has been poorly served since at least WoD (perhaps with the exception of Legion) which is story-telling, world building, character development and lore generally.
WoD missed out the whole middle of the story. Yrel went from a student to global leader in the blink of an eye. Gromash went from Ultravillain to Superhero in the same blink of an eye.
BFA the war story went almost nowhere. and they used up Nyolotha and N’Zoth in a single patch when they could have been an expansion (although the same could probably be said for Argus).

They’ve split up the story in covenants or into third party novels / comics and gated it behind Renown 24 (I’m nowhere near that so that Dragonscale story will have to wait a few more months).

They should stop focusing on systems and start telling better stories with better characters.

they could easily do housing like ESO does

Well, I’m not entirely sure I agree with you on this.
Mythic +, PvP, and Raiding are only for non-casual players. As previously said, Blizzard is aiming their products on causal players.

So, as stated in the topic, I do not believe their system is capable of implementing player housing because their engine requires an upgrade.
Finally, I believe WoW should bring back the old classic feature in an upgraded graphical game.

This game has been world of instances, since Legion, nothing new here. I don’t think Blizzard has any interest in player housing, they’ve said on at least one occasion that it would potentially cost a new expansion. This seems to be their reason for not doing it.

Increasingly since Legion I get this vibe that budgets given to wow have been slashed, we used to get far more dungeons per expansion. Legion added 3 dungeons in addition to it’s mega dungeon in random patches, for example.

We’ve not seen anything similar since.

There are tons of players that enjoys doing other things than sitting in queue for endgame content all day long.

Slapface threads - we don’t need them, thanks

Please, do not waste a single second on BS threads such as this one.
World of Warcraft does not need your input.

Player housing on the other hand, that could be fun!

Would be an nice addition to my 100% play through, to have somewhere to end the day.

Would love to see player housing, instanced, don’t mind, don’t want people running around my home anyway >_>

I’m a healer.
What is a “queue”?

I would be one of them. I spend zero time in game on those things and they are a total waste of resources for me.

Player housing would be an awesome idea. The problem Blizzard usually has is that they introduce a new feature for 1 expansion then drop it for the next. Leaves you no reason to get invested or build on that feature…
Hopefully they are realiesing that they can carry a feature over to another expansion, expand and improve it without it being a bad thing.
Housing will only work if its a permanent feature in every expansion going forwards.

Other than the things you have listed housing is a proven concept in other games. It is perfect for those players of the game who are not interested in e-sports.
