I’ve something similar sketched out as a chartered neighbourhood, but with a little Forsaken inclusivity in addition to the Southshore idea! What would vindicate me is if the exterior options are as available as interior options when it comes to designing your own house
I’d just love to scope out the neighbourhood layout first in order to figure out the optimal distribution first.

Will be looking forward to making a very simple yet rustic-looking hut/house for Askari, with plenty of woodworking and/or stonecarving areas for his ideas to take shape within.
I’m also hopeful for some class-inspired/culture-inspired items such as shamanistic ritual sites and such, give me the stones with runic carvings in them, some vfx stuff and and lighting effects and I’ll be in for a treat!

Thanks, really eager to try my hand at it. I’ve played FFXIV and while the housing was somewhat ok with lots of issues, it seems Blizzard took the idea with neighborhoods and removed the negatives (at least we’ll see if they really did).
Hopefully we can see our warband or alts moving around the house and interacting with furnitures, that would be really cool.

Speaking of FF14, for those curious about how that game lends itself to different housing styles and themes, this website offers near-endless scrolling:
Clicking on a preview usually contains more images of each build. Mind, a lot of people there use Reshade/Gshade for adding atmospheric effects for screenshots.
However, considering that FF14 players need to use glitches to accomplish many of the builds shown, I’m excited to see what WoW players can create with the tools we’ll get. Custom room layouts, and custom furnishings by combining props through clipping, floating, sinking and scaling.

Chances are some of the remix items will be added to the timewalker vendor or an adjcent NPC.
they did it for mist timewalking for instance.
This could include housing items

i hope so! would be a bit crap if some of the first Housing Items are FOMO stuff especially for such a big Evergreen feature
It’s cool that you can, based on yesterday’s streams, also reposition rooms as well as rotate them after you’ve furnished them. So if you already made and decorated a bedroom, and then wanted it to be on the left side of the house instead of the right side, you can just move and rotate the room with ease…
Also very pleased how big you can make the interior, as well as choosing between big, medium and small rooms. Definitely big enough to create guild headquarters or mansion on the inside.
I just kept hopping between the different streamers depending on what seemed most interesting that they were working on. I personally found the content creators’ own streams easier to watch than the official youtube stream, so I’ll link the next streamers when Part 2 happens tomorrow.

The more I learn about the houses the more I realize we may be about to see a return of the “house” guilds in greater number than ever.
Only now they don’t have to pretend 3 houses in a remote zone is their self insert barony in the elywenn mountains.
