I love how people have an utterly schizophrenic view of what Blizzard “would” do that goes counter to their philosophies and the entire direction the game has had for half a decade now.

First time playing? Even this expansion is full of timegated stuff that only got loosened up a little after many people complaining. It’s their mantra by now to drop feed content.
Give me my mage tower nestled underneath Highmountain in Suramar. Other remote locations are also acceptable

Yea, the last patch had some minor things spread out across a few weeks. That’s entirely different from what you’re suggesting.
Anyway, oh wise classic-poster, the hell are you going to use housing for anyway?
I definitely plan a Draenei-only charter for the Penumbra Concord/selected Players so that there’s a neighborhood of only Draenei for up to 50 people.
We don’t have our city yet. So I handle this like some sort of “small Village” so to speak. I even intent to name the respective community/discord/etc. with the assembled people together.
Intention is definitely more social than RP, because we don’t want to detract Open RP. However, especially for Penitent RPers it might be cool to have a safe-space to go to from time to time, since obvious IC-hostility for lore reasons can take a bit of a toll on players minds OOC.

But would be cool to visit a all Draenei neighbourhood, especially since it could function as a Draenei village on Azuremyst Isle!
Hartuum doesn’t really like that idea on the Draenei-only discord for RP for AD. He mentioned he wants to work with multiple guilds together to make Azuremyst more of a suitable location for RP by showing presence there.
And I don’t want to create a situation that results in a detraction from public RP.

So, early access to housing with Midnight pre-orders…
With the Epic edition people get 3 days early access to the Midnight Expansion, and while housing early access is tied to every pre-order tier, it’s not specified how early in advance housing will be available. I’m sure it’ll be revealed at Gamescom latest, but you have any guesses?
Start of prepatch as was the case with other pre-order bonuses like Demon Hunters in Legion etc

part of me thinks housing is gonna be available to everyone, even to those that dont have Midnight, pretty good move if theyr gonna end up doing that
I recall Blizzard released a visual timeline of their planned upcoming content a while back, and there was a House-like icon towards Quarter 3 or 4. I’m trying to find it as I post.

Yeah it’s late 2025 on their roadmap which they have been quite good at sticking to this expansion so I think it probably will be. Now that could be late December and likely will be but it could be earlier.

Well, on the road map it does say… Winter right? So, if I am being stupidly hopeful, maybe Autumn regarding the early access.

Me and my guild have decided from the first we heard of Housing, to go with the storyline and lore of Lordaeron area, reconstructing the Township of Hillsbrad and be it’s citizens as lordaeronians of the Alliance.
Lordaeron Vanguard has a vast influence in southern Hillsbrad so we shall continue to promote it as a land of the living and not a forgotten shore. (Based on the lore and Eastern Kingdoms book, southern Hillsbrad along with Southshore are reclaimed by Alliance)
Hillsbrad deserves some love because it’s such a beautiful zone and we will open our Town to the world of RP to visit it and participate in ceremonies, festivals, markets and more! 
The Town however will be called Redricks Hill and is situated close to Southshore on the south-west part of Hillsbrad.
