A sweeping generalization 
From the evidence of this week, Horde are not much better (see my smile post from last night.) It will probably be a Profession alt any way but I will take it with advisement.

Tried 6hrs off LFRing for the 2nd week in a row on alliance, completed 4 and 5 bosses.
Same thing on horde? 8/8 both weeks.
Might be sheer luck but jeeeeezâŠ

It seems so considering they didnât release sales figures, year sub before launch, free month at Christmas and all the extending of content so it takes longer (which to be fair, was well received).
I think there are enough players who wonât ever leave, meaning WoW can go on as long as Blizz want it to.
Itâs like gyms, lots of people sign up in January, then 90% of sign ups stop going before February.

The OP asked a question and I answered. I bought the year sub and am enjoying the game, which I bought the Epic version of.
That person read stuff that wasnât there and it seems you did too.

No, you see its not like BFA, SL where they actually did that you didnt do thorgast for example that you where behind ingame, DF is different in that part you can play Dragonflight when YOU feel to play abit, you dont have mandatory tasks to do at all, so people sometimes just dont play for like 2 a 3 days, this in my eyes is better tbh.

Itâs with every online game like that. Itâs the usual.
Same with my main game Destiny (2). Since it went live in 2014 as part 1 and 2017 as part 2, people are doing exactly that. Doomsaying.
And yet here we are, with Destiny 2 still being among the most successful Loot Shooter Online-RPGs

Iâd be curiosu to see a metric to gauge the difference in players numbers between BFA/SL/DF 2 months in.
Comparing stuff like the number of parses for a NM/HC kill on the last boss of the raid tier as well as the first boss on mythic at the same time period would be a decent indicator of how many players have left tbh.
Lets increase the sample sizeâŠ

Age of Conan, Lord of the Rings online. I remember when both of these were supposed to kill WoW stone dead. There are dozens of others down the years. Where are they now ? WoW is still very successful , it doesnât have the numbers it did but the world has changed, there is mobile gaming now, the player base in generally older, and more games out there etc. No king rules forever but the last days of WoW are not yet. (unless you are in China 
)
