And could it be all players in ALL games are declining as people are finding other means for entertainment?

No, itâs normal cycle as always. Expansionâs been out for 2 months now, people bought it, tried it out, now they are most likely gone till new tier. Itâs always been like this in wow pretty much, just the tryhards (like myself) are subbed for the majority of time.
Truth being, even if you play ânormalâ and donât burn yourself out, you can easily do most of the content in 2-3 months period. After that, itâs pretty much spinning in a circle.

Iâve not seen any official figures, I have no idea, my realm is busy and I have lots of people to play with so itâs hard to judge.
There will always be a portion of players who just come for the new expansion, see the story through and then move on to whatever they are playing next, then just come back for content updates.
This is most noticeable with how busy the game is on launch and any lag/login issues the first couple of weeks.
However there is always a stable number of players who stay for more than that. They take part in end game as well as levelling through the story.
There are always doom mongers though, as long as Iâve been playing this game people have been claiming itâs dying, or that the next big wow killer has launched etc.

Itâs pretty obvious the player count is at an all-time low when you are constantly being grouped with French/German/Russian realms out of sheer necessity.
Any realms marked lower than âHighâ population are ghost towns.
Queues are long and getting longer.
The game is still playable of course, but thereâs no denying the total player count is way down since the exodus that happened during SL.

Yes m+ this season is the worst we had since years for casuals. No loot, harder gear progression.
Its backlashing that they just listen to the minority of wfr

Well Russia and China can not play so that is a huge drop in sales and player base. Do people actually look outside the box and read facts or just spout rubbish to feed the negativity around here.

Game âfeelsâ busy enough, discord based communities opening second/third and even fourth in game communities because they hit the 1K members limit (please review this Blizzard) .
Cities are full (though phasing might have something to do with that.)
LFR and eBGs, normal dungeon queues are short even for DPSâŠ
Game âfeelsâ plenty alive to me (cross faction helps this a lot - ironically almost every group I get into seems to be Alliance dominated despite Horde being the majority of players.)

Indeed I am going to roll my first Alliance character (on my main server) because of all of this. I do have the allied races on another server (all DKs for fast leveling when they started higher) Dark Iron Dwarf Warrior I think (I love their appearance)

As a person who plays both factionsâŠ
Alliance ppl are unable to do LFR.
Even at Primal Council they whipe multiple times. Kurog, brood and Ras are a disaster.
I have yet have issues with any boss on the Horde side off things.

One thing is for sure, there was no login queue on my server when logging in the first launch morning or at any point afterwards. Thereâs always been a queue before. It surprised me.

They really need to make cross faction guilds and cross faction queued content like dungeons, lfr, random bgs etc.
