Hi all,
I want to suggest something that i feel would be a cool new feature to the end of casual bgs. Adding a bit of interactivity and a bit more reward than a scoreboard.
I was thinking that at the end of each BG you would get a chance to vote for someone that u felt contributed the most and played the best out of all your teammates.
It goes without saying ofc that u can’t vote for urself ;D
The person that gets the most votes gets a reward like bonus honor and something cool for a change like one of those tokens u need to save up for a trophy something making it feel worthwhile.
Cheers all.
Let me know your thoughts.
It’s a cool idea but I feel like people would just abuse this. If Blizzard made some internal way to properly determine a MVP without the players voting and that was shown at the end I’d be fine with it.
Be MVP 100 times and you’d get a special mount or something.
But really, if it came down to people voting the social media crowd would be all over this to vote for their favourite streamer and stuff.
Yes because you playing with your favorite streamers in bgs. /s
Just give bonus honor for voting and its gg.
I’m saying “if” which not that hard of a concept to grasp. And if it’s not a streamer people will just vote for friends over others.
the majority of players in bgs queu solo and as for ur streamer abuse thing i think ull find it doesnt matter what u do if u put something into the game where the players can interact with the game there will always be people who exploit.
Is that a reason for denying the good players something rewarding i think not.
Do you think the game should cater to the bad players or the good players?
It could be for example a hidden scored that adds up healing/dmg/dmgtaken (for tanks) give you 10 pts, flags capped gives you 20 pts, flag retaken 20 pts, 1 finishing blow 5 pts, assist gives you 1 point and you get the chance to vote for 1 of the top 3 people with the highest score
This could work, I’d retract my earlier comment if it was like that
I guess so. It’s a possibility although having a system dictate who u can vote for is very limiting. Like for example, if ur in a bg and u r fighting an enemy at a flag point for like a long time and u finally die and then out of nowhere someone shows up and anti caps the flag at the last second of the enemy capping u may want to vote for that guy even though hes nowhere near the top damage done or healing or whatever. I think this vote should be flexible as in can be very personal or impersonal. Also i do think the scoreboards at end of bg should also reflect things like interrupts and ccs. Right now as it is, the scoreboards turn the best of players into the worst bg players ever when they all wanna top the damage done and completely forget objectives.
I think there will be special raids for gold to receive these awards as moral monsters. Remember Ashran at the end of the Legion - first the Horde raid kills the Alliance raid, then vice versa.
