I was trying to hit two birds with one stone by using the 100% Player XP buff on my alt, and also leveling pets by using the 200% xp for pets buff for this week event.
However, in battle pets I’m getting the 200% pet xp fine, but not the player +100% XP, is that intended? would be nice if the player xp buff work
I don’t see why you wouldn’t. I dinged an alt last week and got the benefit of the XP boost in my last few bars to 120. What battles were you doing? You needto be using pets of a similar level to the target to get char XP.
One time I leveled my mage from 100 to 110 by doing pet battles only. I don’t recommend you do that because you will end up with neutral rep and won’t be able to do world quests.
I’m receiving exactly 23,600 XP each battle, I didn’t though that was buffed especially that my bar is filling up slowly being level 104 on the alt, I’m using two pets lvl 25, and a leveler each battle.
My (one remaining) 110 got 24900 XP. No looms. A normal quest XP for that character is 32900.
A pet battle against similar-top-level pets normally gives about 3/4 of a quest’s worth of XP. Sir G is giving 3/4 of a quest’s worth of XP. Therefore I assume, since that quests’s XP is doubled by the Winds buff, that the XP from the pet battle is doubled as well, since the ratio is consistent.
You’ll also miss out on gear from dungeons/quests, so when you get to BfA you’ll be weaker than a wet tissue. But hey, at least your pet will be swole.
