Hello Blizzard,
Many players are leaving the Solo Shuffle games before they end, preventing me\other players from getting the Conquest points and potentially bigger honor rewards.
Looks like the penalty doesn’t bother them,
Can you please change the penalty to be minus honor for them,
Or alternatively grant the players who stay, the currency as if they won the entire match?
Thanks

The solution to this is not more penalties, it is address scaling.
The majority of reasons people quit is becuase they are massively undergeared and are just focused as the weak link into oblivion and if you go 0/6 the honor is not worth it.
The current removal of the conquest cap has only increased the pvp ilvl gap for those with the “time” to play and those who are “casual”. Unfortunatley for those with less time solo shuffle is also the most efficient way to grind honor (thats a good thing) so people with near full pvp gear to upgrade just hop in in the hopes of fast matches due to undergeared opponents, which results in them rage quiting and no one benifits at all.
Scaling people upto 278 is still not enough, even a 10 ilvl gap is really significant when it comes to certain specs (fury, affliction, ret to name a few) and the gap against people with full/near full gear is close to 33ilvls. Thats TWO raid tiers/seasons in old money to put that in perspective.
If they want make it accessable for all and prevent ppl just rage quiting because they have zero chance to win they just need to increase the scaling to 310 and be done with it!!!
Adding more punishments only serves to desentivise people from queueing and you end up with a dead system

Very good point. I think a bulk of the problems with punching down on the weak link is going to be solved by the DF gearing system, if they do it right and don’t implement MASSIVE gear gaps between the honor and conquest version of gear. Sure, you still might have to suffer being the weak link, but significantly shorter than it is right now.
I don’t see to who’s detriment a full scaling to 310 across the board would be in soloshuffle, except for the people who enjoy blowing up undergeared warlocks.

When people of the same ilvl gets outplayed by skill and lose, they are too rage quit.

For example if you give 0 honor, 0 conquest to leaver and also temporary ban them from solo Q, people will indeed no more leave solo Q: they will now stay until end whithout doing anything to still get a bit of honor. xD
There is no easy solution to fix toxic behaviour. Best option is to report them and hope blizzard ban their account automatically after a threshold of reports is reached.

But we don’t know who left, can be any of the 3.
Of course i dont know the statistical data on the percentage of player who would “rage quit” anyway but neither do you.
However i would wager, IMO, that far far less people will quit if the delta in ilvl was equal, thus resulting in a “fair” match.
Its a moot point really tbh, issues like this should hopefully peeter out in DF because it will have an MMR system AND conquest gear has a singular static ilvl.

In my opinion nothing but harsh punishments for the leaver will solve this. For example, you should have a pool of 2 leaves/bnet account/month where you will not get punished for leaving.
Any more than that, and all your characters will be unable to queue for solo shuffle for a day if you leave.

They’re just doing it for the weekly. Finishing their solo shuffle rounds then leaving. I ain’t too fussed as a healer as they’re normally very quick queues but I do understand your frustration.
In Heroes of the Storm they’ve got a feature that forces you to play with other leavers if you’ve left a game early. I think that’s good. I think having rating involved will also help.
rarely happens…
i have yet to play a single shuffle that had 6 people at the same gear level
band aid of course is negative honor for leaving if dont want to give freebies to winners of 3 rounds+
better solution is of course scale everyone to the same ilvl. be it 278 ot 311 doesnt matter, scale up AND down
same for bgs. bgs cannot be more boring with these 1 sided trash frsts

Half of games:
1 player 2400
1 player 2100
1 player 1600-1800
other players 0-1400
Solo shuffle is totally broken. Or maybe no one is playing pvp now.
probably both
but assuming S3 was not dead, then it was just broken.
S4 solo circus was fun for the first week because most people had about equal gear minus some people and but then they got scaled to 278 while most had 285 which was fine.
now i assume it is complete crap again

Hello all,
In my opinion, there is only one fair solution to this.
Everybody that is in the shuffle will get the amount of conquest and honor earned up until the Round the Player leaves.
Just add conquest and honor per round and not per game.
People who wish to leave for whatever reason should be allowed to do so and forfeit their gains.
even if they get deserter Buff it won’t impact them a lot, but it should not punish those who stayed.

I can only tell you how it is from a healers perspective.
The end result gets set in round 1, if you start with both of the bad dps at the beginning (0 xp and/or green/blue gear with no trinkets and so on) you will get a combination with one of them being part of your team for 4 rounds, so you can either leave instantly or afk until round 5/6. I have tried to force wins by keeping games running for 5 minutes, waiting for two full burst cycles, but in the end you will go to dampening and lose anyway, because they dont focus the same target, los you all the time, dont use half of their buttons, or even afk mid game. If you want to quit, then do it after the first round, but don’t quit in round 3+, because thats a totally unfair move that denies the other healer his honor/conquest bonus. I have healed thousands of solo shuffles and i can only imagine how bad this will be once they attach rating to it, i will surely not set foot into any form of rated solo que.

Had this happen so many times the past week now and tonight I managed to get 6/6 wins and was only waiting for the enemy that died to lose his “Last stand” thing from necrolord and then one of the enemies leaves and I end up only getting 560 honor from it (“only” because the reward wouldve been maxed out).
Not sure what can be done to fix this, but would love for something to be done atleast. Its like they just want to make it miserable to other players…
So solo queue turned out garbage. Who would have known.

Thats like saying arenas is poop because you are 1v2 in skirmishes. Its an unranked mode people will leave it and right now blizzard hvnt fixed the reward structure for the people that didnt leave, lets hope they see the feedback and sort it out before df. Though i do think rated will fix a lot of the leavers anyways.

They still haven’t fixed the issue where you can press Esc then “Logout”, then log back in which will take you out of the shuffle without a penalty after all this time and you can queue right back into another one. Was there since day 1 of solo ooga booga

The biggest problem is not the scaling it is the skill issue cause no rated que and if they have the feeling, they are the reason why every round is lost … they just leave.
