Players stealing mob kills

Hi

So I was camping a rare mob and when the mob finally spawned he wasnt up for more than 0,5 seconds, I barely saw the mob up before he died. Turns out a level 120 stealthed player from my own faction killed it as soon as it spawned.

What happened to teamwork and friendlyness? Or is the game now yourself vs everyone else? This have happened before too, people dont care about anyone else except themselves in this game.

You were camping a mob, he was camping it too, he got the first hit and killed it, you didnt.

Better luck next time.

Yes, but he killed it as soon as he spawned. I didnt have time to react. He could have waited for me to tag it too or invited me to a group. Its just very selfish when we both need it…

But I guess you cant ask for this in WoW anymore. Gone are the days where people where nice to each other and actually talked… Now everyone can be robots who knows?

Sorry Sheffy… but this thing happens… im thinkin about the Sha in Pandaria. A nightmare…

But before the Legion xpansion all rares dropped loot only for first person to kill it. or 1 item that was /rolled for in group…hmm? what do you mean ‘‘gone are the days’’

talking and sharing loot is two things fundamentally different from each other

Some people like messing with you like that, especially rogues. What you gotta just do instead is to be faster than them. First come, first served.

Dungeon finder, “quality of life” changes and lfr happened.

No, it’s yourself only - there is no everyone else. Everyone else might as well be NPCs. If the stealther thought that there’s a human being on the other side, one he might be grouping with in the future, maybe he’d give you a group invite.

I guess im getting too old for this game. Now its too competitive for me, I just find it rude.

Are you by any chance a returned player?
It took me a while to get used to the changes in game and player attitude when I returned

I have played all expansions, but took breaks here and there. But this competitive nature, players not talking and not cooperating, acting like robots is just getting worse each year.

I just think it has become more noticeable when the playerbase isn’t as big as it used to be.
Maybe that’s the reason board games (and board games clubs) have become so popular, you sit with people and play the old school way (that many miss in online games)

What does this exact rare drop? He might just not want anyone else to get the rare drop he finally gets.

You could always say “anyone camping X rare?” in general chat.

I feel the same but in a different way my reflexes got slower and my thought process became slower and i react a bit slower to things and aswel feeling a burnout from the game it used to be much easier to play when i was 16 to 18 but toxicity in wow you should have gotten used to by now its a norm to be bad mannered in a game now i guess i still dont understand why certain ppl are toxic and Elitist in this game but its to be expected now and gotten used to.

Its the Millennials that made it that way and people got used to it.
