Hi guys, just hoping to get some tips/advice from others in my situation!
I’m a Feral druid at heart, but have been tanking since the start of Shadowlands, and also trying my hand at Balance because it’s so op atm. Recently because things have been quieter I’ve also been healing for my guildies when needed.
Very happy to play all 4 specs, as far as I’m concerned this is what Druid is all about! But how do you do it? I’ve got 3/4 legendaries crafted, and am hording gear for different specs (mastery seems to work well for all 4, with a bit more Crit for Feral, and then Vers for tanking).
What do you do about soulbinds (as we only get 3)? Any other tips you can pass on to make life easy (or easier) for me?
Blizzard just outdid themselfes, made an expansion that not only alt-hostile, but also spec-hostile, somehow they did it (with conduit energy and covenant performance so differ from spec to spec). There is no solutions, but just level another druid to play another spec.
And yes they WILL admit their mistakes and close to the new expansion they will fix them, just to make sure that they repeat a new mistakes in a new expansion, even if players will point on them in alpha, like we did with for covenants in alpha.
Don’t listen to people who say you need to level another druid. While I’ve been raiding exclusively as Feral, in Mythic+ I’ve got Keystone Master as Feral, Balance and Resto (Started working towards KSM as Guardian last week). I freely switch between all 4 specs by utilising my soulbinds and only use 3 legendries for Mythic+.
Assuming Night Fae…
I use Niya for Feral/Balance. To save conduit energy, I only change the last tree. I take Burrs if playing Balance and Poison if playing Feral:
For Resto I use Dreamweaver:
For Guardian I use Korayn:
As for legendries, I’d suggest prioritising these 3:
Resto & Feral - Circle of Life & Death
Guardian - Ursoc’s Fury Remembered
Balance - Balance of All Things
Then you can build the other legendries for your main spec. Feral for example would be Apex Predator’s Craving, Draught of Deep Focus and finally Frenzyband which is seeing some use in shorter encounters or where there is an increased DPS phase (Sludgefist, Ingra Maloc in Mists, Oryphrion in Spires)
I’m not saying these are the most optimal builds, but they are competitive and will allow you the freedom to switch specs as often as you like. Soulbinds are saved per spec, so I only need to go back to my covenant if I’m switching between Balance & Feral or if I want to spend energy to min-max.
Nice, this is the kind of thing I was looking for thanks! I’ve got no intention of levelling an alt as I seem to be managing ok atm, but useful to know how others manage legendaries/soulbinds.
And gratz on KSM on 3 specs, that’s quite an achievement!
Dont worry, they will say they made mistakes and wont repeat it in the next expansion, but you can be sure, you will get it in the next next expansion, because the mechanics suddenly stop being bad. Ppl only get enough time to forget such stupid thing existed and gets beaten by even worse mechanics. Then they come up with great announcement about getting back to the roots and throw it in again. Zero effort, maximum profits, shareholders win again.
