How does it affect the shuffle queue time if I play BGs inbetween?
Quite often I play several BGs whilst in the queue, but still have wait another 30-40 minutes when I leave the BG. Even though I’ve surpassed the “Average Wait Time” by a long shot.
If I play BGs back to back, shuffle would literally never pop. I need to wait 30-40 minutes just standing in a city.
It simply pauses it and you start from where you left. Made no sense that you think it would work otherwise.
If you are only interested in playing shuffles, queuing for any other activity simply prolongues your time waiting and nothing else.
I’m not sure but I have had my queue pop immediately after leaving a bg.
That could just be luck though!
The timer continues to count whilst in a BG, so why would one assume otherwise? Also taking precedent from BGs - if you leave a normal / epic BG, the other one will usually pop straight after.
You can also q solo shuffle while doing 2s with a friend, but the reason they made this viable was not to reduce the waiting time. It is that you can do something else.
I don’t think that’s how it works. It does not “pause” the solo shuffle queue, but rather if your turn comes while you’re still in the bg, you lose your position in the queue and get to the back. That’s why sometimes even though you waited a whole bg, you still have to wait 30-40 min more. Other times you’re lucky, and your solo queue comes up shortly after the bg.
In any case, if you want the fastest possible solo queues, do not play other instanced content during that time. I normally fill the time with world PVP or just relax in the city.
If you queue for Epic bg, Bg, Brawl for example, lets say queue for Epic pops, you play for 20 minutes, then your waiting queue time for the other 2 would show around 23-24 minutes. The timer goes on like the shuffle timer, but that doesnt mean you are moving up the queue list.
That would make no sense, because there is no way you would really wait 23 minutes for a bg queue.
