Playing WoW with AI companions

I like the idea to be able to make a group with AI for example dungeons/raids. I mean you pay alot for this game and u should choose how u want to play it and it would been a great option to have this aswell.

U have dungeon finder and lfr to see the endgame content though. If you are gonna rely on the pug scene, then yes, u might find yourself excluded from alot of the endgame above what u can auto queue for, but there are solutions for that. Like friends, guilds and communities. I dont think any AI solution would suddenly make u have access to mythic raids and m+15’s. It would be to be able to do the raids and dungeons on lowest level. Kinda like the “storymode” that has been suggested for LFR instead of the version we have now.

I understand and that’s fine. But these people just storm the objectives and leave no room to just breathe in the lore. Most of these area’s are beautiful to look at and you just don’t get the chance for this when with a bunch of randoms that are just there to grind.

I know, and i agreed with you that it would be a good addition to the game. I’m just saying that access to the raids and dungeons are there easily for those that are willing to go through the pugging experience. Its additions made to cater to the biggest part of the playerbase.

Any data that indicates that apart from your feelings? Also there are others who would unsub because of this change. Did you considered that as well?

I am sorry but I don’t agree at all on this one.

I consider myself a casual player, I don’t have a guild cause I don’t want to commit to other people schedules and dramas but if I wanted to i could easily go for Curve in pugs with a bit of dedication.

No one expect you to be a method player. This is plain bs.
There is an abyss from being a method player and simply not sucking big times at the game to the point that you annoy people you play with because it’s more the time you hug the ground that you play.

The problem is that the majority of people have too much of an high opinion of themselves and throw themselves onto content they have no clue about, and them call everyone else toxic when being pointed out they don’t belong there.

Where’s the data that corroborates your assumptions? I’m pretty sure that only a handful of self-proclaimed elitists would leave, while the returns would be much more interesting, as it’s not like your quality of WoW life would suffer beneath it. If it would, it just tells you that people would rather play with AI, than with you :yum:

Hmmm yes i actually agree on that solution and they will work for a short time but there is one last big issue the mentality of the playerbase that i can’t change being so tournament competitive oriented and them being against friendship and communication only using or accepting you if they can use you to carry them higher.

In other words playerbase has alienated themselves too much with ppl only playing amongst themselves like only 5 ppl kind of closed off from the majority of the people and interacting with nobody nor helping anybody unless they see interest in it.

You made the first statement, I just asked for proof. It’s quite stupid to ask others to prove your theory right.

It wouldnt affect ppl doing higher end content in the slightest. It would be an option for normal and lfr levels of play. Just to see the lore without having to rush rush rush. Finish the quests at your own pace. Nobody kicking you for getting lost in that classic dungeon others have done 5000 times but u have never been to.

Your reply is just a simple cop-out of the fact that your assumptions are wishful thinking at best. There are more commoners than there are elitists. Facts.

Right i guess you haven’t qued very much for m+ or even tried any somewhat serious raiding because they ask absurd requirements for entry.

But then how about you get off your high horse and show them the ropes so you and them can be happy or are you too proud for that???.

Yeah, I’d be happy with something like this. A story mode for dungeons and raids. Rewards would have to be quest level of course. Perhaps you could only do it once per character to see the dungeon, story and finish of quests.

Perhaps for dungeon queues in Random Dungeon Finder if the wait times are long an AI tank or healer could be used. Wait ten minutes and if no tanks have joined stick an AI tank in there and let the group get on with it.

This is so not my experience, but i accept that u have another experience then me. I have made many new friends in this game after i returned at BfA launch. If i hadnt, i wouldnt have seen any of the bfa dungeons or raids or the SL ones, since i refuse to go near the pug scene. I dont even touch it at normal/lfr level.

That does nothing for your theory tho. Not all “commoners” want this change or stay subbed if it happens, nor all elitists oppose it.

I don’t think this has anything to do with Elistism. There is an easy auto queue casual friendly system with just about all content WoW has to offer.

Sometimes it’s fun to have AI for things but that doesn’t mean it should exist for every single aspect of the game either.

If someone has a crippling fear of interacting with others, I do wonder why they play and MMORPG as opposed to some of the great single player games that are totally orientated around just them. We see players with all sorts of preferences and that is fine, I can wholly understand some don’t want to PuG (it is often an awful way to experience the game), however we have a wealth of content that requires no pugging from random battlegrounds, to LFR to dungeons etc. You just queue your character up and go.

You killed the discussion :frowning: Till your post there were a new one every half minute, now silence since.

I have done 21 keys in the last 7 days. And mostly pugged every curve, don’t have sylvanas one because I raided first week and then I came back literally last week.

It’s not a matter of insane requirements, but a matter of you being out experienced by others.

Lmao and how about you get off of yours first?
Being so entitled to think everyone need to be a living guide in the game ready to teach you at any given moment.

If I see a person asking for help and being honest about it I am glad to try and share the little I know about the game.

If a person stay silent hoping mechanics won’t target you cause you are literally at 0 knowledge, then no I have no respect for you because you don’t have respect for my time in the first place.

And you just joined a group like “finger crossed and let’s hope for the best”.

One time in Draenor there was a guy that asked “hey can someone help me with M0” and I tanked them for this unknown person I never saw again all WoD Mythics.

I am really happy to help new people and leave tips here and there if possible.

But I am not willing to waste my entire playtime for people that don’t give a flying about me and just want their shiny things or mount.

And to reply to the rest of you guys and gals  I’m not mad or anything since many people perceive my posts that way I’m just sharing my opinions and thoughts.

To me, this is still pugging. Yeah its automated, but u still end up in a random group with strangers. I dont do pugs, not even on the lfd/lfr level.
