Plea from Turkish Community

That’s not how free market works. The price is determined by supply and demand, not by the production cost.

So what of people who are unemployed and living off benefits (in whichever country they reside) would you then ask that they pay a reduced subscription?

I honestly do sympathise with the Turkish community, but what I am saying is where would such things end? I think the fact that the WoW token is available is a way for all to play for ‘free’ if they wish, farm the gold to buy a token.

Do you know how much Russians pay? 6 euro.

What makes them different from rest of the EU then?

Its really not. You state you make less money in Turkey though you still have to pay the same for a sub. I just pointed out that the wages in Western Europe might be higher but so is living, having a roof over your head. Not just a little, but a LOT. Rents who are 83% cheaper according to google (dont know how trustworthy that is ofc).

If I make 2000 euros a month, but you make 1000 euros (In your local currency ofc), but the roof over my head is 1100 euros and yours is a 100 a month. We have the same amount of euros to spend, do we not? If you then look at insurances and shopping and clothes who are 53% cheaper in Turkey. I have to spend an additinal 500 euros on that while you only need 230-250 of it.

Looks like I am getting shafted and you should stop moaning about paying the same for a subscription as the rest of us.

Thank you, that’s exactly the point of this topic. We ask Blizz to check the demand.

Potentially scaling infinitely means that the supply has technically no limits. So the question is, will pricing down create enough demand to increase total profit?

my money is on no

I have no idea really, but someone in Blizzard surely thought that it would maximize profit or else they’d be paying same as everyone. Maybe it’s the same case for Turkish players, I don’t know, but if this is the case it would be taken after a serious market study, not because of thread in GD forums.

I have solution for Turkish players!

Buy the Russian version of the game, then change the language to English, then you can change the server to English.

You will play the same game as everyone else but you will pay 6 euro instead of 13.

13 euro is the price you can spend for a week’s worth of food here as well. Where’s our lower sub price?

Is your country currency euro? If so do not moan.

Their country’s currency is TL.

So? Our wages and salaries are also crap. And you said that they can buy a week’s worth of food for the sub in lira, well, so can people here for euro.

It did work out for a lot of companies. I guess we’ll see in the next months.

Avarage person earns 2200-2300 tl (I do not know if they have increased it) by working 12 hours (non office places) a day, each month considering the rent that costs about 1000tl and left is 1200-1300 tl and now try to pay 106 tl out of that price.

Also, I do not even know why I am defending or saying something, guess I am just kind today.

yet upi came in to call them terrorists. Such a hypocrite to boot.

Google: how many people worldwide speak turkish”
The official language Turkish, is the first language spoken by 90% of the 71.1m population. Minority languages include Kurdish, spoken by 6% of the population, although this isn’t recognised as an official language. Arabic is spoken by 1.2% of the Turkish population

75 million Turkish language speakers worldwide.

Yet still no official Blizzard rented space in Turkey. The only references to Blizzard employees in Turkey I can find are two Game Masters, who I wouldn’t necessarily count, 4 employees that work for the regions I mentioned in The Hague Netherlands. The last one is somebody that works for PublishMe in Turkey:
Community Manager (Blizzard Entertainment Turkey)
Publishme - The Publishing Agency Fulltime
Location Istanbul, Turkey

So there’s not much to go with to be honest…

Because you’re a Tauren on the inside.

I asked about unemployed people, do people think that those who are unlucky and do not have jobs, or maybe illness stops them getting a job, should these people pay a reduced sub or no sub?

Does anybody know of any game that is ‘means tested’? A game where the cost is calculated on the individual means (income) of those that play?

So the same as here. Average salary is 300 euro, average rent is 200-250 euro.

Not saying they don’t have it tough, but they’re not the only ones who have crappy economy and corrupt government.
