What does a boost have to do with letting people change their hair/hair colour?
what? im just saying that I can’t explain it better than this dude LOL
Half the video is just rambling about his own experience have some identity and speak for yourself instead of linking videos of others
No need to announce it, its pretty clear you play retail.
I play classic too your point is?
None of this is original
It’s also not 2023, which, judging by the timeline so far, is the earliest we can expect WotLK classic, and with it, the barbershop.
You saying classic vanilla was original?
"No. It would totally destroy all immersion. But gdkp runs for upward 100k fueled by gold sellers are fine.
Pepega"
Yes, if robbery is illegal and happens so often, let’s legalize murder as well, shouldn’t we? Your argument has no logic.
half of people in this thread are <50iq guess which ones lol
You guys can’t even give constructive opinions on the topic anymore.
We are talking about a barbershop, that is the topic. Not boosts or gdkp.
Barbershop:
+) Gold sink in a broken economy (Also only sinks gold on cosmetic choice, so it doesn’t punish poor / new / casual players)
+) Convenience to make small changes to character appearance
-) May be a “gateway drug” to more QoL Changes that may be bad for the game
Even though i think, cosmetics have value for character and community immersion and adding more and more cosmetics devalue all the existing ones - a barbershop is so minor, it doesn’t affect anyone.
But i am still concerned like many others, that this change can lead to more drastic changes like transmog, pets, mounts being added. And that’s a nope for me.
If they dont add some changes in classic era and tbc realms , the future of classic wow is black, i am one of those clueless new players who dont think nothing about racials, i now probably choose female gnome instead of human male for still living at classic era realms but i am not going to loose all my progress for that, so i probably left the game if there are no changes for classic era and tbc… i am not claiming for pay 2 win, now we have pay 2 win i know people on my realm who pays for R14 and accounts and this mans said no changes … on aliance side lot ppl are spending like 100 euros on priest horde accounts to buff up rend.
I was probably the first one to ask for barber shop in these forums, making 2 threads during phase 1 and phase 4 of classic wow.
But right now I am not for it. Because the context has changed, and we know at this point after they added boosts, cash shop and mounts to TBC that they are trying to convert classic into more and more paid services, convenience features etc. Boosts were the first foot in the door, and a month later, we saw a new mount, then 2 new toys and one month later we saw the cash shop interface being leaked out of TBC beta. They took the community’s willingness for “some changes” which had nothing to do with paid boosts or cash shop services and used it to rationalize these changes that are antithetical to classic’s foundation. A complete juxtaposition of all of classic’s design philosophies is being pushed by Bobbylizard.
Barber shop is probably the most innocent and most acceptable feature that the game could have. But again, at this point, I know that if they add barber shop, every ill-minded person will take it as an opportunity to legitimize other changes to the game and they will keep asking for more convenience features on every platform.
So, just because of the current situation and their efforts of making classic a new themepark game filled with convenience features, catch-up mechanisms, etc. I will be against barber shop. Wish that we could trust the company and the legions of retail babies being poured into classic after they managed to devour their game that they will be happy with a barber shop but won’t use it as an excuse for implementing LFR into the game, but we can’t really.
You speak for no changes while lot of people are buying gold… I always farm hard, months to prepare naxx in my first steps on classic I farm like 300 lotus after the “lotus change”, spending 12 hours per farm day while some of my guildmates was buying gold… And you speak of no changes when there are gdkp where money man’s do what theywant to do… .
Buying gold is against the EULA/TOS and should result in a permanent ban of both parties accounts. Blizzard doesn’t enforce their own rules at the moment because Bobby has fired all the game masters to increase his personal salary a bit more.
And I’m not a supporter of nochanges, read what I wrote above.
Characters with hair should be able to go to a barbershop to cut it.
Bald characters should not be allowed because hair stopped growing.
I mean…just cause something is f’ed up, are we just giving up and let the house burn down?
Gold buying should be banned, gold selling should be banned.
Without the RMT market, GDKP and boosting will naturally get less popular, cause people can’t afford it by actually farming gold and the economy will naturally recover over time.
The attitude “ah its f’ed anyways, whatever” is not helpful at all
i’m actually all up for barber shop in TBC, but the way op presented it makes me wanna cry, Just no
How about a little toupee?
Toupees should not be allowed ever, neither irl.
Bald = Bald no changes
Maybe we can allow a hair transplant in Turkey tho.
But keep it as much to nochanges as possible imo.
What we maybe can do is make a small change that you will be allowed to braid the lil side hair you still have left to look like a gnome viking.
