Please, add more demon customization options

Or at least let us use whichever demon we prefer without it being a huge DPS/utility loss, ESPECIALLY for Demo.

With Hunters being able to choose their pet’s specialization again in 11.1, they can now basically choose to use any pet family they like without actively gimping themselves (yes, some of them are very, VERY slightly better still, but it’s almost imperceptible). A similar system for warlock minions would be awesome. However, as things are now, warlocks are still basically…locked when it comes to using their demons. If you don’t use your puppy, you can’t even interrupt, and if you are demo, you are absolutely, completely, 100% not getting rid of the felguard. Ever. And I mean EVER. Seriously, I was really excited to play a demo lock in SoD, hoping I would be able to at least be able to be free of the felguard for a while, but it followed me even there, like some kind of toxic ex-partner unable to let go. If there’s one thing I like about warlock while playing vanilla, is that I at least got to use different demons while leveling.

And it’s not even that I dislike the guy (or any of the other demons, for that matter), but after almost 20 years it just gets so tiring having your identity completely tied to a specific pet you can’t change (and that does not even have their own voice lines, despite being added in TBC). It’s actually gotten even worse in TWW, since now there are even more felguard-specific talents. I can’t even remember the last time I used my succubus, voidwalker or imp.

I know there’s basically no chance we’ll ever get a taming system like the hunters have, but I thought that, since they added customization options to the barbershop, we’d at least be getting some new customization options every now and then, but to my knowledge we haven’t gotten any ever since the system got implemented: you can either use the felguard or the wrathguard (which looks dumb as hell without being able to dual-wield still), and that’s it. Seriously, Blizz, at least add a fel lord or shivarra matron skin to the felguard customization option, they even already have a felstorm animation and it would take basically 0 effort to do.

Anyways, that ended up being a bit of a rant, but whenever I see hunters get dozens of awesome new customization options for their pets it annoys me how limited warlocks are when it comes to their minions.

hi, some things about the current demons would certainly be interesting.
First of all, in the branch of warlock talents, there must be a talentto chose between the spell lock is the prerogative of the warlock himself or whether it must be used by the felhunter. This would help a lot in using the demon you prefer, and if one prefers to be able to silence while casting, use the felhunter’s spell lock.

At this point it would be interesting for some of the same passive abilities to return from the past (blood pact, fel intellect etc.). The fact that some demons have to be practically excluded due to the lack of spell lock is too restrictive. It would also be very interesting if the grimoire of sacrifice also gives special bonuses in addition to flat damage (sacrificing the imp increases the critical chance, the void increases health regeneration, etc.).

On new demons: it would be very nice if the spell enslave demon (now subjucate demon) work like the hunter’s taming. It would be very nice if the demon you are trying to take over challenges you in the twisting nether, becoming much stronger, and you need to defeat it to subdue it. There are tons of demons with very nice skins in the old expansions and it’s a shame you can’t use them.

On the subject of customization: instead of using the barber (which I find really out of place) it would be very interesting going to the old warlock trainers in the capitals and you could use a summoning circle that functions similarly to the dragons’ rostrum of transformation. By doing quests, winning arenas, killing monsters, completing dungeons or achievements you unlock new customizations for ears, horns, fangs, eyes, colors, etc.

On demonology: it would definitely be appropriate for there to be the possibility of using different main demons and for the talents of the demonology branch to be neutral and not specific to the felguard

I would like to see a passiv introduced to demo where your base demons just get upgrades to a higher tier demon,
Imp = Imp gang boss
Void walker = void terror
Succubus = Shivarra
Fel hunter = Ur’zul
All that would be needed to add to these demons is that they have an extra ability that can also be emporered by demonic strenght.
An example
Imp gang = big fire ball that deals aoe + a dot, empowering this will send 5 big fire balls out
Void terror = Fire breath, its damage gives the warlock healing, empowering this makes the fire breath increase the targets magic damage taken
Shivarra = charms a target to start attacking its allies, empowering this makes it effect 5 targets
Ur’zul = interrupts+silence a target, empowering steals effects from the target also and gives it to the warlock (mage spell steal)

There are so many cool looking demons in legion zone but we get noting.

But hunter get every big update more pets thy can ho for.

100% agree with this. This would be so cool and something I have been posting about as well. Blizzard are really missing an opportunity here.

Not having Legion Felguard skin is a huge missed opportunity.
