Racials

  • All Racials are now disabled when in PVP.

All Druids

  • Cyclone duration reduced to 4 seconds down from 6 seconds in PVP

Feral Druid

  • Rip damage reduced by 10% in PVP
  • Rake damage reduced by 10% in PVP
  • Ferocious Bite damage reduced by 10% in PVP

All Mages

  • Alter Time duration reduced by 50% in PVP
  • Displacement heal reduced by 50% in PVP

Frost Mage

  • Ice Lance damage reduced by 10% in PVP
  • Frostbite proc chance reduced by 100% in PVP

All Hunters

  • Chimaeral Shot removed from the game
  • Diamond Trap removed from the game
  • Survival Tactics now reduces damage taken by 50% down from 90% and now last 1.5 seconds, down from 3 seconds.

All Rogue

  • Gouge and Blind now share a choice node

Sub Rogue

  • Smoke Bomb and Shadowy Duel now share a cool-down

Assassination rogue

  • Garrote can now only silence a target once every 15 seconds.

Disc Priest

  • Power Word Shield reduced by 15% in PVP

Holy Paladin

  • Blessed Hands no longer grants an additional charge of Blessing of Protection

I play Frost Mage, Sub Rogue and Surv Hunter. (And Spriest / WW Monk but they are not listed here)

These changes are actually pretty good. I agree with most of them, even tho they nerf 60% of the classes I play.

I disagree with Gouge and Blind sharing a choice node. Thats changing a class too much from how its been for 20 years. I rather see a nerf to Subterfuge or reduce the number of vanishes to max 1 regardless of specc. And seeing as 99% of all rogues are night elves now, lets make Shadowmeld only castable outside combat.

They didn’t have Gouge for many, many expansion… Rogue CC is higher than it’s been for years, they also didn’t have the survival they have now. gouge is the main issue.

Gauge was a Rogue ability at the launch of World of Warcraft in 2004…

i think that would bring up feral to modern design of current class design the only reason i added extra charge of SI is because feral remains the only melee without 100% dodge or immunity

But for several expansions they made it spec specific. As in you only got it if you played combat… or was it assa? I dont remember.

Alright if THAT is what you are referring to, yes, they made it Combat/Outlaw specific for some expansions.

Gauge is useless for Assassination, as it breaks on damage and Assassination is about DoT damage, so its more or less just another interrupt, but I mean, Rogue’s can interrupt you 117 ways, Gauge should not be the specific problem.

Sublety likes Gauge tho as its yet another way to control the opponent to reset the match.

But I am 100% certain that between Subterfuge, double vanish, In-Combat Shadowmeld and Shadowy Duel, you are probably the only one who thinks Gauge is the problem for Sublety.

it´s not useless, even when it breaks on your dots, it also stop casting for a second, it´s like a micro cc

rogues are doing it when i try to clone the enemy or on a penance cast from the disc, or to stop the long chaos bolt

Saying gauge is useless for an Assa rogue is just wrong.

gouge is really good, and u dont bleed 3 targets 24/7 its most likely 2 targets depends if they stack or not.

for me it would be a Good thing to remove Gauge again 1 less micro cc, also remove some micro cc´s from other classes it´s getting out of controll even in m+

Being a Night Elf Rogue main I would have no problem with:

  • Reduce Vanish down to 1 for all specs
  • Make Garrote only silence on the first target
  • Remove Subterfuge from Assa/Outlaw
  • Remove Shadowy Duel
  • Make Shadowmeld only useable out of combat

I see what where you’re coming from with some of these, but some of them don’t make sense in practice imo

Nerfing cyclone to 4 sec duration makes it almost never worth to swap out of form for, cause the reward just ain’t worth casting. 2 sec is a LOT to nerf a stun CC in PvP - maybe start with 1 sec and see how big a difference that makes imo

Putting Gouge and Blind in the same choice node is basically just removing gouge from the game, cause no one is ever gonna take gouge over blind.

The idea of Duel and Bomb sharing CD is interesting to me!

Maybe it should be used in combat like it is now, but dont take you out of combat when you use it, so at least it can be useful to break cast or catch a spell.

The primary reason to use NELF is to use Shadowmeld as a tool to avoid projectile damage. No where on the tooltip does it indicate that this is the intended use for Shadowmeld, so I would argue that nerfing the way Shadowmeld is being used beyond what it’s tooltip suggests, seems like the way to make Shadowmeld properly work as intended.

Worked for what? There was basically no racial on night elves, and that was open world game, now it will be even less usable.

Skill related ability, same as rogue vanish pre cata. No need to change anything in this department, let people meld their coils.

The only thing that should get nerfed here is that meld get you out of combat.

Worked in the sense that there was plenty of people whom enjoyed the racial ability without it making almost all classes have NELF as the top race pick for pvp.

The problem with this is that we have no other abilities in game that get you stealthed but also does not get you out of combat. For me to stay in combat, must mean someone else is in combat with me, and thus I can now use your version of Shadowmeld to hide and keep someone in combat. That increases the level of abuse you can make with this racial.

Shadowmeld works like this since 2008, yet no one cried about it until now. Maybe buff other abilities,.but definetely not remove racial from night elves like you want to.

About rogues nerfs. Rogue should be class for cc as it always was, all that rogues need to be removed are healing/shields with vanish and potion, cloak should not remove physical debuffs, and damage should be slightly lowered. Too strong defensives for class that is supposed to be squishy.

Simple, shadowmeld puts a 10 sec CD on all stealth based abilities AKA vanish, stealth, provl ETC.

Something like that, yes. But make meld not getting you out of combat is better, because it will nerf nelf mages too, not only rogues and druids.
