We have cross faction guilds now, and can do most content together. However it’s currently not possible to queue into a random battleground with my fellow guild mates. I even tried taking the mercenary contract from the guy in the sewers in Dalaran, however whilst that let’s me queue as horde on my own, we were still unable to queue together when grouped.
Please allow for cross faction random battleground queueing. Perhaps the group leaders faction decides the side. Thanks!
My god yes!
If Cross Factions becomes a feature, it should be a Main Feature!
That way, they can have more players in the pool, AND it will make it easier to implement a Balance system so that its not a one-sided match.
4 Champion Geared Players? ‘Ok. Put 2 in each team to balance it out.’
Its a good idea. But I bet the elitest would disagree because it means they cannot be the “best players” in their clubhouse.
“Elitists” prefer shorter queues and balanced teams I would say.
“Gatekeepers” is the better word, for the kind of mentality you are painting^^
I think there are players that want the Horde vs. Alliance theme, for different reasons. Some of them are legit and historically speaking the main thing about “warcraft”, although no one can take the lore nowadays seriously, it made no sense, latest during BFA.
For the game’s health (POV of a game dev) it would really help a lot to have cross-faction for everything.
crossfaction should not only be an option to q with friends, but every bg should have mixed teams, q would more than half, balance would definetely be better, i see that as an absolute win
Faction loyalty is a myth in 2023 because everyone just fotm rerolls to the most disgustingly broken op stuff min maxed to the race even for casual content (average wow player) completely discarding any sense of loyalty to main spec, faction, etc and as a consequence the horde (resp. alliance) really isn’t the horde (resp. alliance) anymore
at this point just merge everyone together and let us have homogeneous queue times regardless of the faction and make evenly geared teams as much as possible
This is what you get when even I can get a new character to max level in an evening. There is no reason to try and stick with your main and learn how to deal with whatever is the current best class/spec/combo. You might as well just re-roll.
Overall, this is the main reason to do it, and why PvP would become a better experience overall, especially for new/weak players, which are desperately needed in PvP.
The Better reason is that because its not Factioned based, there’s no faction thats Overpowered then the other. They can sort each player to a team for a even balance based on their Gear, Level and amount of players.
There’s no reason that 6 Max Conquest Gear players should be on the same team, split them up. Give Max Conquest Gear players other Max Conquest Gear players to have to fight.
The way I see it now, Classic WoW still retains that For the Horde/Alliance feeling, the PvP sets are thematic to the faction identity of each class, while in here the Alliance have won many Wars, now it’s all friendship unless Turalyon re-ignites that Faction War between both factions… but frankly cross-faction queue would be more of a convenience for everybody, the match-making would also change and PvP communities would potentially grow for every player and perhaps Blizzard could implement more world PvP features where you can perhaps play for domination and control in key areas like Ashenvale, Hillsbrad foothills, similar to warfront but PvP, for bonus rewards, cosmetic, themed to both factions, and perhaps give that sense of Alliance versus. Horde vibes? bit of a BFA 2.0
