I’ve seen a ton of monks also use bots to land perfect rings on top of any darkness, barrier, amz the same split second it was placed. It’s not fun knowing you’ve been “outplayed” by a guy running a bot…

there was some banwave of bots but i also tought it couldnt be nearly enough of how many people do this as it was something like 8-10k and the same scripting are popular on classic and privas which people obviously come use similarly to retail, 8k sounds small but obviously no one knows the real ammounts
some people from privas went 3k last season doing it and got banned after they took the achievements to their account, does it matter i dont know, i just dont like cheaters in general and ive never understood people being lame like this in video games like shooters example where its also common.
from all the choises possible handed out to a person in life few decides to go operate ret example mid of retocalypse and not only that but also cheat it with scripts. i guess if the goal is to be superlame then that is achieved

The majority of the real botting specs are Ele Shamans and Preservation Evokers.
In fact the thing with Ele shamans has gotten so much out of hand that high rated Eles get accused of botting even when they aren’t. We’re talking about fixed 90% of your cast Wind Shears (meaning you can never fake them), 50% hp wall, 30% hp Burrow, instant knockbacks when you connect, killing deployables in 0.001 seconds without targetting them (such as Totems, Psyfiends, War Banners).
For Pres Evoker, it’s usually a guy that stands mid map and doesn’t move and just does his healing rotation. Also the usual, instant kicks or 90% of your cast kicks, perfect healing rotation and defensive usage.
i know some who got banned doing it on ret in retocalypse that is why i mentioned ret and i also think its pretty lame to script on it when it was so free anyways in retocalypse
bans of 8-10k doesnt sound like a ammount enough for this, but i guess its not so easy for blizzard to intervene on it more, they would need to put more money on pvp to gms and whatnot and theyre not going to do that, scripting been here since vanil now just more advanced
these announcements of whatever numbers of bans seem bit like look we did something type show for people that were in charge of situation, i dont know if they really care that much of the whole ordeal

gets tiresome smashing those two buttons i imagine, needs a rest with help from script, furys too high apm no fun too smashy smashy
It’s an arms race. Bots use ever smarter and harder to detect algorithms, and big companies create smarter heuristics of their own and this will go on for the entirety of the game’s existence…
The best practice in the industry, and what Blizzard does too, is to not incrementally patch/adjust your game against the bots, because this gives their authors clues what you’re targeting and fixing, but instead to gather data for a long time and prepare sweeping changes to the detection algorithms and then apply them and ban all accounts that are flagged as bots at once.
Then bots get smarter and the process repeats…
Because they are terrible, they couldnt even handle a focus target macro
the Problem is they want the “flex” so they can say “YO YOU ARE TRASH, i have 3k rating and you???” they dont do it, because they want to play the game, they do this, to flex ingame, its the generation Z

i know 4 Peoples in my Discord, who played on a Privat server, and went to Retail, who using a Script bot right now
They getting banned after 2-4 Months, but they dont care, if they getting banned, they just Buy the Dragonflight Heroic Edition, with a Insta Level boost, and gearing is also Easy, and u keep the rewards on your Bnet Account

I remember that clip where a streamer baited a bot user to reveal himself by placing his priest barrier far away and the monk INSTANTLY placed a ring on it pixel perfect.
