One of the things that often comes up when I’m touring with my dwarf band is that there’s not enough nice people around.
It’s not really that tough, you join a group, or sign up for something and you’re nice to people, but that seems alien to some.
Even if you’re not a dwarf, even if you’re a cow or a dead person or even a, god forbid, elf, there are things you can do to ensure you’re being a nice dwarf.
So what do I mean by being a nice dwarf?
Have a decent beard - it doesn’t need to be an actual decent beard, just a figurative beard. So long as your hypothetical beard is potentially luxurious we’ll understand, you’re a nice dwarf! (sorry humans who desire a long beard)
Be short - even if you’re not short, pretend. It’s not hard, get on your knees, stand on a gnome, do something, just make like you’re a dwarf.
The easiest - drink lots of real ale. Not a tough one, but while you’re doing doing it make sure you’re complimenting your wife’s beard.
Lastly, for those new to dwarfing - moo at Hordes, even if they’re not cow, they expect some casual racism.
So to summaries, shake hands, shake beards, shake hair, shake dandruff, shake everything!
Aye, I be havin’ this experience all the time. People show up in Ironforge on occasion wit no beard! I say “why cannae ye just be nice” which they always misunderstand, the thick planks.
Another time I were standing next to an elf what had the gall to be 3 feet higher than me. I says “oi, be nice up there and share the weather will ye?” Didn’t so much as look at me this Mr. Important. Prolly didn’t even know where me voice were comin’ from!
But this ONE time I mooed at a Tauren and his wife (who had a fine beard). They mooed back understanding my nonsense moo to mean something. Spent the night running through Mulgore yellin’ “I were only trynna be nice!”
No, but really, you’re right. In fact it’s harder to be an a.ss than being nice.
For example, I often tank m+ and sometimes you get a player that has no clue and people start insulting.
What for? I just go on or (rarely) leave, no point spending time insulting someone. It doesn’t bring good to anyone. At all.
In fact I’ve had times where one player stands there commenting how bad another is. Meanwhile the rest of us go on and do our jobs. We get it, we also saw the mistake. But it’s more efficient to either leave or go on as we do
While female Dwarves don’t have beards, they are still almost as hairy as the males.
Hairyness just adds to the Dwarf zexiness :hairy: (new emojis needed blizz.)
