Lunar Inspiration is just fantastic as a ranged combo point generator all around for open world and one of the most mandatory spells for Feral to function in PvP.
I do miss playing with Lunar Inspiration in PvE in Dragonflight BUT combining it with FF will fix none of the issues and just heavily nerf Feral in PvP by making them choose between Feral Frenzy or having a ranged combo point generator.
An alternative solution for Lunar Inspiration would be to place it where Protective Growth is right now. 5% damage reduction with Regrowth will never get picked, not even while leveling. I occassionally used it for BGs but its not worth a point at all.
In my eyes not every talent has to be super strong or super good. LI fills that super comfy spot where its a hell of a pick for PvP, very decent for leveling, open world & questing, and being okay to not picked in mythic+/raids and in my opinion its fine that way.
I knew putting roar and bash into same node was idiotic idea and thought they can not do anything stupidier but for my surprise here we are in even worse case scenario … meanwhile WW/DH/Evoker keep one shotting ppl without any nerfs but ye lets ruin ferals bleeds cuz they are first time after xy years in a good dmg spot
Feral will feel so horrible in PvP if this goes live… Already lost a mandatory and strong CC in Roar and no one picks Ursols/Mass Entanglement as predicted and now they take Moonfire away from Feral aswell while they’re super squishy in cat…
You can clearly see that the ppl in charge of this changes are not playing feral or druid at all just theoretically making changes without any practical skills and i bet my cat tail on that this dev lost few duels / arenas to druid and now he is in need of getting revenge.
The feral tree is currently in such a good state. I don’t see why they’re making these kinds of changes just after the expansion has launched.
Granted, our class tree needed work and I’m glad to see they’re starting to tweak that but these kinds of changes can put people off playing the spec they’ve chosen to main.
I hope to god that choice node change doesn’t go through. I’m loving feral more than ever right now.
The changes are awful. People liked bleed builds and are sick of rip, rake and trash being only icons on enemy debuff box, and nothing more. People enjoy the bleeds, they get nerfed, and Ferocious Bite which no one in the world likes get’s buffed back. Are they trying to have Shadowlands again? I mean, at this point you shouldn’t even consider Feral for PvP.
I also have to say, forcing Moonfire on Feral is so stupid it’s like forcing Mage to kick with staff. In my opinion it should have never been an option - I don’t feel like a “cat” doing that. I know you like Moonfire, but as a cat it’s f-ing disgusting. I say buff Feral Frenzy even more so I won’t have to choose that ugly ability.
I lose Moonfire while in cat form (very important ranged combo point generator).
If deciding to play Cyclone in PvP:
– lose Remove Corruption
– gain Wild Growth (which will never be casted)
– gain 4 second longer Barkskin
– gain 20% more healing received during Barkskin / Frenzied Regen
My bleeds will tick slower.
My bleeds will do less damage.
Bites will still do pathetic damage.
This is a straight up nerf to an already suffering spec.
The exclusive choice of Mighty Base and Disorienting Roar is something I will never accept, and these changes are more of the same nature.
How can anyone accept that PvE cleaving multiple targets with PW and hoping for FB procs is the only viable PvP build?
I can’t kill anyone in a stun, and the toolkit is complete garbage, so I need other specs to do all the CC setup and execution. It’s a freaking joke.
Every xpac its the same thing, you have Rogue very OP and opressive in every area but they get tickled with nerfs that do nothing and then you have Feral that has to actually do something to be able to heal or kite instead of having everything backed in like DH, Fury and of course Rogues so what is the point of playing Feral and juggling between doing dmg, healing, kiting etc… when I can do all much easier playing Rogue which got the same playstyle as Feral so you really lose nothing?
Good thing this xpac made having alts much easier and made gearing in PvP much better so Im honestly leveling a Rogue now and just go have fun one shotting people.
Since DF came out we have lost hibernate, roar, remove corruption and clone (in any reasonable survivability build for pvp) now you want to take lunar away too…
It would be insane if we had a reply to acknowledge we are not giving feedback to a brickwall instead of just keeping us in limbo to get keep our sub running with these ludicrous changes, druid class tree also not even making any difference whatsoever.
Move the lunar node so we actually have a CHOICE on the end of feral frenzy maybe, no one cares about the tree looking symmetrical we want the fun game play lunar brings along with feral frenzy.
No one asked for lunar to be removed from being a choice, get it together blizzard
M+ spec, atm it lost most things that made feral fun to play. We are a hybrid, now on the lower end of the offhealing ladder, with the squishyness of a DH in a stun, with mediocre consitent dmg, and near non-existing burst dmg.
Flat line on all fronts. Been a while since I felt this bored with the spec. Only way you do good is when you manage to herd all the enemy players together like sheep, and press 1 2 3 aka brutal slash - primal wrath - ferocious bite (on procs).
Once an intricate and complex spec, watered down to the appeal of a worn out slipper.
Buff bite, check
They just hate everything that is feral, being the hybrid side and spinning plates with bleeds, just revert it to BITE SPAM!!! yippie!!! BFA all over again
I don’t mind losing Feral Moonfire, it’s a complete garbage playstyle. Melee should be melee, we shouldn’t be generating ranged combo points. Give us back proper powershifting so we can shift slows instead (Tireless Pursuit is a joke, replace it with proper powershifting - and make it baseline for Feral, because as can be easily understood from the rest of this thread making it mutually exclusive with other talents just makes it an unviable pick / something you will only pick sometimes or only rarely even if it should be baseline).
Also, you completely forgot about the 10sec CD and 1sec duration nerf to Mighty Bash that was introduced in SL (which was partly offset by an SL borrowed power which reduced the CD by 10sec) - this has also not been undone. It’s like they don’t understand that in order to actually get value out of Bash you have to leave form and fake cast people.
For the rest of what you’re saying, it’s been written in the stars for at least ~8 years. Ever since WoD and especially Legion Blizzard has been dumbing down PvP as much as possible. It was only a matter of time until our main strat would be to act as a multi-target bleed bot with zero creativity or fun involved, and now we’re there. It’s too bad they got their stuff together with PvP gearing and that Solo Q was introduced only now, when the class design is already ruined.
PS: There’s no way they can undo this in DF. Changing the Druid talent tree is not a mid-expansion thing, as any changes impacts all Druid specs in both PvP and especially in PvE. Making Feral PvP fun was just not a priority when creating the tree.
