Please bring back dimensional rifts and decimating bolt to class tree

Please Blizz, bring back these abilities to class tree, these were fun to use and this is exactly what talent trees should be for, if someone doesn’t want to take it they can pick anything else, but half of playerbase miss these abilities and you stole option to have it from them…

I can only agree. Dimensional rifts on affi and demo would have been very interesting.

No, shard gen for destro, which dimensional rift is meant for anyway, is different than demo and especially aff. Its not interesting, its bad for the other 2 specs.
And if you want dec bolt, make it a pvp talent, pvp is the only time it was playable and probably only for demo.

They can change what Dimensional Rift does based on your based spec.

Like, make Rifts spawn demons or make rifts do x% of dots damage on the target etc.

I am actually surprised Blizzard didn’t or couldn’t come up with an idea like or similiar to this. It would add flavor to each spec.

For that you need an higher IQ than the devs actual have, i mean look what they did to our spell lock. I never saw anyone complaining about it… still they changed that instead of our poor capstone talents.

Tbh I dont think Rift fits demo and aff at all. There is plenty of legion stuff that each spec could have, imagine having a capstone in your base class tree, and then, based on what spec you’re playing, it would give you a different spell, Destro would have the rift.

Now I was thinking of some of our SL covenant spells and I don’t get it, why we can’t have anything from SL brought back? Soulrot with DSS for only affliction is stinky. And DSS in current form is really weak. So weak, that it wouldn’t be bad to have on the class tree. Because anything you can get from your class tree, shouldn’t be game changing.

I think that the missed opportunity here is this:

Each covenant spell with it’s empowered talent(from leggo) that is under it, should be a choice node for all classes in a 2 node selection. What if somebody liked kyrian Scouring Tithe with Languishing Soul Detritus combo? Or maybe someone else likes decimating bolt instead and now it’s gone forever, the spells we played with for 2 years.

this is complete bull*hit, you have no idea what decimating bolt could do with havoc
for instance use it on 50% hp target, your inicerate does +150% dmg and is guaranted co crit, you copy it on havoc, ( could do 20k+ dmg on each target for 3 times) not to mention decimating bolt copy to havoc target as well…
for affliction it increases dmg a lot as well, and it makes it much better to regen soul shard from drain soul…
dimensional rifts would be amazing for demonology lock while you’d spend soulshards during nether portal, and for affliction it would be much better than all skills that make this spec so shallow and easy for everyone…

ALSO, its talent trees, if you don’t like any of ability, just dont take it, take some passives or defensive skills if you can’t play with it, the fact YOU think its not necessary, doesnt change fact a lot of ppl miss it and blizz just stole chance for it from them, while it changed nothing for ppl like you .

I mean, I wont argue a lot about destro, since I have never been a fan of it, but ill say one thing, the short time I have been paying wow, the best I have seen destro was certainly not by getting some incinerate dmg. But idc about destro that much.

This is a really wtf statement. Sure aff can gain dmg, but who wants to play necro aff, it has been the worst iteration of aff I have ever seen.

I mean as seen from covenant usage ppl will pick the better dps one, so putting a thing that is bad to play, but might be good dps, isnt smth ppl like me would like. Blizzard can put useless talents in the tree by themselves, they dont need extra suggestions for that.

Decimating bolt is nothing but a stupid dmg modifier with a cast time and it already sucks enough to rely on casted spells in PvP. Rather have that dmg baked in other frequently used spells or make it instant.

Rather have impending catastrophe if we want a cool looking ability with bad mechanics.

I didn’t know talents require you to have covenant… We are talking about talent itself and it’s usefulness.

As for pvp it would be useful as well, since it’s different cast school, And it’s also good skill for pve, especially in some scenarios so I don’t know what you are bragging about, and if it was talent it doesnt mean you HAVE TO pick it.
