Please make it so we get more per week baseline, it’s a 15 week grind for people that just came back to the game and have 0 clue of how to PvP like me.

Absolutly not . You can easely increase to 8 :
More you got CR more you will obtain them .
That mean if you are Rival ( 1800 ) you got 5 of them.
And it is so easy to get 1800 cr. Everyone can get it today.

who are proud they grinded some boring timegated crap for months.
because you dont need it anyway if you arent doing +30 keys and mythic race is already over anyway.
its totally ok to do less damage not because you have less gear or anything but because you havent waited 15weeks for your essence.
enjoy or wait for sl is my advice

I’d like to play other classes properly, that’s why I want to get this essence faster (don’t think there’s 15 weeks left of 8.3). I’ve never pvp’d seriously in this game ever and a 15 week grind is insanity. I wonder what they were thinking when this thing wasn’t semi account bound on release.

they were thinking they can make people play content they usually dont do i guess.
it was/is stupid and except some forum trolls who just say the opposite for the sake of inet arguments nobody likes it aswell.
i doubt htey will change anything anymore. so yes either wait 15weeks or take another essence i guess

Blizz can, frankly, go shove it… I have zero desire to do PvP in this cesspool they call ‘PvP’. Just annoys me a PvP acquired Essence is a God damn recommended one for PvE!

I know, and I know it’s because I suck at PvP that this is an issue. I think it’s fine that decent pvpers can get it faster, but 15 weeks for pvp plebs like me is a bit excessive don’t you think? That’s nearly 4 months for 1 upgrade.

It’s even more difficult this patch when everyone is up to their neck in Versatility corruptions. Someone returning the the game now is going to struggle a lot.

i stopped pvp? was 2K1 in Bfa S2 and S3 .
I stopped PVP in BFA S4 because corruption wasn’t fun with it. so i choose to rerolls 5 new MM hunter for shadowlands.
That why PvEr can easely get that CR today.
Today more you do PvE , better you are in CR in PvP

Yes but that doesn’t suddenly make you good at PvP, and getting that gear from scratch will take forever.

Like anyone anywhere can do it.
Even one of my PvE friend that know nothing of PvP i just told him to focus DPS every arena game got it.
I will admit that it’s easy during the end of the season when all the gudbois are all high up, but by then it’s too late to bother farming the essence because Shadowlands will be around the corner, my point it just that if someone is returning with next to nothing, it’ll take a lot of work to reach 1800, especially if they have to pug it (although they haven’t said if they have a pvp friend or not so who knows).

C&S would be a completely fair way to get a PvP essence. If you like to PvP, you’ll get rank 3 just by doing what you do for a few weeks. You probably had it long ago.
Unfortunately, C&S is really strong for PvE for some classes, to the point we can’t ignore it. I was lucky to have a guildie basically boost me up to 1000 rating, but now I’m faced with these silly Furors and… I don’t even like PvP. I don’t really want to do more arena, even assuming I can find some friends to help out with it. But if I don’t, then I have to do 15 weeks of conquest cap in Battlegrounds - which is absolute torture. Especially as Alliance. I’ll probably have to do 3x epics and 3x normals just to get a win in each. That’s my entire evening play time! 
Please… Blizzard… if you ever do things like essences again, run the damn numbers and make sure your PvP/PvE essences are good for their jobs and not the other. It doesn’t make players “try out” the other side of the game, it just makes us give up and be angry.
I’m at the point where I’m pissed off every time I try arena. Me and a friend of mine started playing Retail again about 5 weeks ago, we slowly but surely made our way to the curve achievement and we got the mount, but we’re trying to get the M+ 15 achievement aswell and we both would like to play a different character/gear a different character and that’s exactly why we need this essence. He’s more into PvP than me, he’s decent at it but I’m straight up garbage.
I play all 12 classes and have over 16 120’s, but only one is geared and I’m using that one to gain all essences on. I just need 1 more to rank 3 and that’s C&S. I wanted to go for Azeroth’s Champion but that’s not happening if the R4 C&S is getting 2.4k rating when I have real issues getting to 1.4k rating. Don’t have the gold for boosts, but I heard that that bracket can only hold x amount of people so getting carried means you kick another player out which is terrible.
Point is, I’d like to be able to play my other characters properly, sure they don’t have the gear, but that’s always been the case. Now I have Essences and Corruptions to worry about, and essences only recently became “accountwide” which is the reason I returned to the game to begin with. With a 15 week grind before I can play certain specs properly, I really wonder if this was the idea for blizz, to lock someone out of specs for the rest of the expansion.
Recently heard that high end pvpers are ranking down to farm noobs for echoes, so there’s that aswell. Not blaming my losses on that at all but this makes it even worse to keep cool about this issue I’m having.
