Is it possible that in BWL raid the Lightning Shield doesn’t lost stacks on every damn aoe effect? I don’t want that shaman do more damage, they aren’t the best in pve but it’s okay, even If I don’t play pvp i know that they’re really good there and a single class doesn’t have to be the best in every part of the game. Ele is still fun even if I never keep up with the “big” classes in pve and will probably be one of the last.
The thing is that you can’t play your bracer rune as ele reasonable on many bosses there, often you lost all stacks before you build one single new stack. You got cast pushback and before finished your Lightning Bold cast and hopefully have the 50% chance to get one stack, you lost 2 or more stacks, that is so annoying. Not everyone plays in good groups, many plays in pugs were mechanics aren’t played well and you get hit by many spells (fe 4th Boss), so protection pots and priest shields are lost fast and so does Lightning Shield.
If your unlucky you cast a new Lightning Shield after losing all stacks, have gcd, then cast one Lightning Bolt, have pushback and when finished your Lightning Shield is gone again, but Earth Shield doesn’t have lost one stack, how? I know it’s only one spell I can’t use and I already have T2 and don’t need the mana refund, but it’s so much frustration and Ele isn’t as much fun as it should be and as it was in MC, because one base mechanic of the spec doesn’t work on many bosses in this raid.
Maybe you can add to the bracer rune, that only direct spells and attacks cause you to lose a stack or if Earth Shield is on you, you don’t lost stacks from aoe effects. So it should have no influence on pvp and you can play it as intended in pve. And there won’t be the same drama for us in the next raid, depending on what you have in mind there.
This would be really nice and I’m sure that every single ele shaman out there would be very, very happy.

Shamans were good in phase 2, so now they have to be terrible at everything.

It’s really important to always diss other people’s opinions and experiences. And when I ask for something to be changed, I really just want to moan about how stupid and shi*ty EVERYTHING is. Moaning was my only intention, as you can read in my thousands of other posts before. I definitely didn’t want to politely request a reasonable solution to a currently annoying situation for a handful of players with no impact for others.
I would have preferred not to do the whole thing publicly, just to avoid such comments, but you don’t have many other options.
Please just respect my request, just as I would respect yours if something wasn’t running as smoothly as it should with your classes or something is bothering you.
With that in mind, may your weapons never disarmed, your spells never miss, and your runes always be playable.
well, they should just delete static shock and make enh shaman able to tick overcharged for their pve dps instead.
its more streamlined.
you don’t need to constantly rebuff it mid-combat, and it does AOE dps which the class sorely lacks.
since burn shares slot with mental dexterity, feral spirit shares slot with S/E/F and fire nova shares slot with maelstrom weapon, enhancement shaman is in a spot where they cannot do aoe dps at all, and swapping to be able to, means you lack all your key single target runes.
so right now, what they are doing, is they swap 3 runes out for trash, and then swap back for boss fights.
it is beyond clunky and just feels bad giving up key runes so you can do some aoe dps for trash pulls.
even when swapping runes out for aoe runes, the aoe dps is pathetic because you’re giving up all your spell damage scaling in the process.
mate, like, just give us overcharged and/or whirlwind 2h rune.
make stormstrike activate overcharged along with whenever you take damage so tanks that go for elemental fury doesn’t get screwed for not having stormstrike.
i noticed he has been curiously absent this past week.
maybe his antics finally caught up to him.
So true that rune IS Bad actually, you lose charge so fast with hit…
As you Say when aoe , or a pour Guy hit you it’s so hard to reach 9 stack.
WE know now sham elem are far to be top tier dps, that rune to be usefull will must be no loosing charge and be upgrade to 100% to add a charge when lightning and chain lightning hit.
And remember if he not Crit dmg are not so high, and on PvP you will have to deal versus Riptide if you chose this.
Actually this rune IS useless as ( nova rune, ancestral guidance and healing rain).
But we dream…stealth nerf earth Shield IS easier to do…
