Please change warrior sounds and animations

Warrior has been my main class since original TBC. I have seen and played every single version of it.

I know this is subjective but I think warrior along with certain other classes was victim of a bad animation, VFX and sound redesign in legion which hurt the gameplay rather than improve it.

Playing an MMO gives players satisfaction in many different ways. Some people want to achieve, some want to gear, some want to earn gold, gather mounts etc. But I think gameplay and character immersion are elements that affect everyone and are essential for a successful mmo.

Please revamp warrior animations and sounds. Off the top of my head Whirlwind, Bladestorm, Raging blow, Slam, Overpower and the shouts all look and sound terrible. There is some good animations such as Bloodthirst, Condemn, Avatar.

I’m not sure who does animations nowadays, if its from the company or outsourced, but whoever does should check what fury warrior looked and sounded, but most importantly what it felt like to play it during TBC/Wrath.

Interesting how opinions sometimes differ. Imo fury has great animations and raging blow is my personal favorite. I also like the sounds.

I don’t think its completely terrible, but comparing it to the old one it is. I’m not sure if you played the old warrior in vanilla/tbc/wrath, but it sounds so bloody when you proc deep wounds, the auto attacks actually sound useful, and all the swinging abilities and animations are generally very satisfying. Nothing really matches the old sweeping strikes cleave whirlwing feeling.

Raging blow sounds weak and whenever i press it its like im hitting with a wet towel. Actually i really like the 4set proc wih reckless abandon but thats about all that i like about it.

I don’t know what fury looked like before mop, and I’m always in favor of improvements, but knowing blizz I know that those improvements can often actually turn out to be worse. But I tell you, not everyone has the same opinion, I know many of them who like me like current animations. I think they could get a little more into the glyphs with which they could easily handle situations like this.

As you can see I sometimes play a warrior and I really like animations when it comes to fury. One of the reasons I play that particular spec.

Yes. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I think the glyph system can be really nice in terms of customization but at the moment its very few glyphs and its usually on unimportant abilities.

There are plenty of animations that I currently like, for example, elemental shaman. But I think most are bad and overly imposing especially on large aoe. The worst is by far shooting stars/starfall. If you are in an Epic BG you can barely see anything in a big aoe fight because of the terrible boomking animations that i mentioned. The clutter is too much.

I’m not sure what specs you are familiar with but i think most players that played older versions would agree that the legion revamp ruined the aesthetic and feel of most.

For example, I think demonology warlock, frost mage, arcane mage, balance druid, all rogue specs, and ret paladin got animation, projectile, VFX and sound revamps that are generally disliked. Of course there are people that like them too, but I am positive that the overall population dislikes them.
