Nope, it doesn’t. It doesn’t solve tank shortage. Dual spec + DK + easy dungeons + easier threat management will.
RDF doesn’t solve the fact that less populated server are less populated (less guilds, less raid, less items in AH…)
Listen, i don’t care about RDF or not. But time and time again people make up arbitrary arguments as to how RDF can save just about anything. This very topic happen to be one of them.
You are assuming RDF would net better gear with emblems as rewards for queing than PvP(?), but there never was RDF in TBC. There’s no argument to be made here and it’s pointless to discuss what could have been. I’m sure Blizzard will implement it come ICC. And the fact still stand you can’t equate player activity of End of Life TBC with fresh launch WotLK. And that is what OP does.
And yes, it takes less effort to just queue RDF than look through LFG but then again you can que for hours in RDF as well, in particular on small realms. Towards EoL, in whatever expansion.
Yeah, why would you attempt to have fun in a video game when you can do something you don’t really like doing and get geared with items that’re going to be replaced by greens in Northrend.
Shame on people trying to have fun, shame on them!
Not being able to push a button won’t prevent you to have fun.
You’ll still be able to do dungeons.
Please see context of message.
It’s not about RDF, it’s about gearing in the game as it currently stands right now.
Am I the only one who doesn’t know what “Multi MGT” is?
I hazarded a guess and took it to mean repeatedly running normal Magisters Terrace for some super easy starter gear.
I could be wrong on that mind you.
Oh right, I thought it was MgT, with a small g, that confused me. I’m not up on every abbreviation anymore which is why I asked, it could have been new.
I’ve never been more convinced that they are going to re-release as many of their expansions as possible for ££££. They’ve pulled what I believe to be a significant retail audience into Classic during TBC Classic, likely a lot who never actually played WOTLK so are defending the removal of RDF. The same mindless passive defending of Blizzard that ruined WoW for a lot of people after WOTLK or at the end of Cataclysm.
I said it before, and I’ll say it again. You CANNOT have a Classic experience with RDF being removed. You simply can’t say this is WOTLK Classic and not have a integral feature of the expansion removed. I hate Blizzard that this is even a conversation, if only they had any integrity whatsoever and respect to the foundations of why Classic was created.
It was added in the ICC content patch though, so it would not be “classic” to have it from the start of the expansion.
Multi means Doing the same dungeons several times.
MGT is Magisters terracee.
Which is half of WotLKs lifetime and it was meant to be added earlier, they just couldn’t have it ready earlier.
But then, we’ve been through this a million times over. Are you opposed to dual specs in phase 1 too?
I’m not really for or against RDF, even if I do remember more negatives than positives from when it was first added to Wrath back in the day. For example multiple runs with someone afking half the dungeon, people just straight up needing the loot to vendor for gold and other rather antisocial behaviour enabled by lack of repercussions in a cross-realm environment. Disabling the cross-realm element from RDF would fix some of these issues, but then it wouldnt fix the issue it was designed for, it wont magically conjure new tanks and healers from thin air on the realms with low population.
On the other hand it did make leveling alts more enjoyable most of the time, and I dont think I would mind having it for 1-70 in the pre patch, and then later enabled all the way to 80. But I’m going to give the LFG tool a try before I can be sure about these kind of things.
That’s the general min-max mentality of the player base. Minimum effort, maximum reward. Or am i wrong?
Btw, i read your posts here and you are like a rabid dog, taking bites at everyone and responding with sarcasm if you are met with arguments. How about we try having a more nuanced discussion?
Nuanced like telling people trying to play the game right now that they should stop bothering and play a game mode they might not be into cause “its easier to gear that way”?
You mean exactly as I have been now in tbcc? Oh wait a minute… I stopped trying to do that.
Lol that is kinda rich coming from the same person that just a little earlier said
Am i wrong, or what are you implying?
Your scrap book posts rarely make any sense as you pull small bits of text out of context.
Odd, last time I checked Retail, I remember a few more differences from WotLK than just RDF
Your right. A company built on needing to retain the majority of its playerbase, intentionally sides with minorities.
Ofcourse it makes entire aense /s
As i said millions are waiting for wotlk launch, and the best this topic can muster is maybe 10 posts made among the same players.
We see larger backlashs from balance changes in retail with half the playerbase size if not less.
Ofcourse there are, but the point of the matter, is following every controversial change in a identical fashion will just mean classic will climb towards a place its only attracting a identical playerbase as retail.
Its pointless for such a thing to take place.
