Uhu, vanilla, tbc and wrath were once retail too. Now they’re Classic, like Cata and eventually Legion will be.

Yes but Retail players in 2017 was a small part of the old retail player 2004-2010.
I just used the terme Retail players to mean the current players.
So obviously in his world he will heard many time that Legion was the most popular.
I’d say there’s a fair chance they’ll split it to have wrath legacy + Cata classic, since yes wrath is what many classic-fans were waiting for. I just think playing past an xpack’s due will tire quicker than most ppl think, when NOTHING new is added. Just like classic vanilla which was stone dead after just a few months… Like 95% went over to TBC without hesitation. Not even the most hardcore Wrath fan will play it for 5 or even 3 years, not a chance.

Cant wait for u guys to start moaning about how classic Dragonflight is the suxx and askin for wow classic to be brought back 
If u just keep on releasing retail expansion and calling it classic thats just whats gonna happen.
And what’s bad about reliving the entire wow franchise? I think it’s a great idea. And you know another idea? In 10-15 years, do it all over again for another nostalgia trip, i’d love it

31/0/30 arcane frost mage … highest crit damage from all frost mage specs, and all 3 minutes you have 2 dmg cooldowns, arcane and icy veins
and why did blizzard in cataclysm say, that we can not set talent points free and must set 31 points in 1 tree before give talent points in a sec tree?

This is the same thing over and over again.
People hate Cataclysm because it made major overhaul to Azeroth, making many location feel somewhat alien to certain players.
What I remember Cataclysm for however was changes to classes and their spec, that improved the game-play or made it more interesting.
Fury Warrior enraging on damage dealt instead of damage taken completely ruined the game for them right?
Paladin having more situational abilities divided to single target and AoE groups completely ruined the game for them right?
Most people see only the negatives in Cataclysm but ignore the positive changes made to classes and their specializations.
I acknowledge that Cataclysm was the first step away from Classic WoW, but despite all the changes, it can still be considered as classic WoW.
It was the MoP that completely moved away from classic WoW elements, not CATA.

I remember quitting Warcraft well into Cataclysm – I got back for a short period during MoP, and again during Legion. Maybe this time I will see both expansions under a different light, since what made me leave was mostly playing other games with friends.
I don’t follow blue-trackers nor news - when is Cataclysm planned to be released ?
p.s. - all the following are hybrid specs, on my DK I use damage-mitigation main, and heavy-bruiser off-spec – I also use a variation of the arcane-frost as off-spec for a couple fights in Naxx

My plan is to subscribe for an entire year as soon as I arrive home after xmas; but I can see myself slowly leaving the game by this time next year…
Honest question from someone who cycles hobbies every year-and-half, how many of you plan to still be playing the game at full gas, a year from now ?
As i said, i think ICC will be here in September, so i think many players will still play, maybe more than now.
And ICC is also good for logs
I haven’t played “full gas” since Classic.
Been in mostly-raidlog-occasionally-play-an-alt mode since getting raid ready for TBC. Which is how I’ll be for the forseeable future. I like the people I play with though (even though a few of them are Swedish 
) and will have an active subscription for as long as they do.
Retail is generally considered to be retail after Cataclysm/late Cataclysm with what the game became. The same backwards players are ruining the game all over again now.
It’s a joke to call this WOTLK Classic. I wonder how much unofficial server numbers shot up in the past 6 months.

5-man heroics too difficult? Underwater levelling zone on seahorses not cool enough?
I actually didn’t mind that Azeroth got wrecked, it was like another sundering. Made it interesting to go back and see what happened to it. At least there’s always Vanilla Classic to see the old world.

I totally agree. After playing Wrath I have come to the conclusion that for me personally wrath was the peak of my world of Warcraft gaming experience. Cataclysm is good, but it just isn’t as good as wrath, and its all downhill with the following expansions.
Regardless of what blizzard decide to do, wrath will be my endgame. If they keep wrath servers and open new servers for other expansions I will stay on wrath. If they release cataclysm and remove the wrath servers that will be the end for me.
Wrath of the Lich King is my endgame.
