Please end the scourge of boosters

I play on many servers, having nothing else in my life, and almost all of them are now cursed by boosters operating what can only be called businesses complete with trade names (boostboost) and macro advertising posts on LFG channel which surpass anything seen in the bad old days of gold spamming.

It is wrecking the game. LFG gets spammed so badly that it scrolls so fast that anyone wanting to find a group for real dungeons feels they have to spam just to get their posting on the screen for more than a second. Worst still- and this bugs me as someone who loves levelling- it makes it impossible to find a dungeon group at low level if you want to play the game as intended.

It’s a simple enough problem to solve and can be done overnight- just make dungeon groups with a character more than 10 levels above the top end requirement unable to gain experience or complete dungeon quests. A more bespoke arrangement for higher dungeons such as Slave Pens may be required, but this will kill the ‘trade’ stone dead and return lower level dungeons to some kind of normality.

After all, it’s what we’re paying for.

This surely must be server-related.
I tested it on Mirage Raceway. Had LFG channel over the spae of a few days.
Spotted a couple of people asking for boosts. Deffo didn’t see any boost spam.
Vast majority of the msgs were eactly that, people looking for group.

Hardly a deep scientific study but I didn’t see any of the nightmare spamming that people seem to be seeing on other servers.

Well, no. Not really.

Retail doesn’t have level boosters. It has ingame character boosts (like TBCC) and people selling raid gear for IRL money.

Not quite the same.
