The current PVP leaderboard system is flawed and creating an imbalanced experience where new or under-geared players face discouraging matchups against fully geared opponents, leading to frustration and high dropout rates.
When you start with a green gear at 1600 MMR and play vs full gear players, is like you are sent in a M5+ with green gear and try to finish.
Many streamers struggle in these situations, demonstrating the challenge.
Most player that will try to do this it will have 6 losses in a row and quit before even getting in the pvp match reports.
Simple, if you are on a new account you will start from 0, if you are an experience player start from X (some % last season)
Why do people make posts about this every season, it’s so pointless
Gearing a healer fully takes a few hours. Sometimes there’s multiple bloody token quests in the world + the weekly Spark quest, which will amount to a few tierset pieces and more gear. Free weapons after 2500 conquest.
Every game mode has quick queues and group-ups for healers. Everybody wants a healer. Most people by now have learned to practice their char and gear it in a bracket they don’t care much about and can get quick conquest in it. This is usually 2v2, but can also be Blitz and Shuffle, depending on the person.
1600 mmr is literally beginner MMR. If you face a fully-geared opponent at 1600, it usually means that person is stuck there. Which means that person is not very good at their class. Which therefore means they shouldn’t have a big advantage against anybody.
Otherwise, it would mean the person geared somewhere else, as a lot of people do.
You can’t have people crying about MMR for 2 months straight and then crying about it being too much. This is not a realistic problem.
Okay, you were put a bit higher than you should be. That means you were given a chance to progress faster, but dropped anyway to where you belong. Where is the problem in that?
Oppositely, a lot of people don’t want their new char to start at donut 1300, they want to push faster because they know their class.
Knowing class is 15x more important than gear. You can get full gear in a day. You won’t become insane at a class in under a month.
the problem is that a gladiator is in top 0.5%, is not the best idea to make a system that works good for them, you will like to make a system that is good to most players, not for the players that play 4-6h every day
if 1600 is beginner why are you 4x gladiator rated under 2100? din’t looks at all your alts
rated 2063 you are top 100 players in the world as demon hunter
you know that we have api data only from top 5000 players ? not for all players
even so in the top 5000 players / class, according to drustvar we have 65% under 1600
