Every single group I join, everyone is in a different phase. I’m in the middle of the maw, trying to find a group for “Words of Warding”, and I just can’t get into the same phase as my group.

This is even more frustrating when you are grouping with friends, and realize you cannot interact with each other due to this “phasing” …
This amazing new tech has only created more problems since its inception, and destroyed communities.
It will always bug my mind, how are private servers able to maintain more stable conditions than this multi dollar company disgrace.

I have a hunch that warmode might be the issue here.

it is not warmode you have to go to orbos first to layer properly to their layer.
That is why everyone hates this godawful system.
What was wrong with previous layering systems that they had to mess it up this bad?

We must push hard on this, perdition hold is almost unplayable if you’re not in a group or not a certain class.

Aye, I no longer bother with the group finder because of this. As if I would bother going back to Oribos, and then return to the questing area just to do a few objectives? No. By the time I’ve come back the other people would be done and I have to do it all over again.
Such a waste.
In the Maw it is intended, it is not a bug. You have to leave and return if you want to group up.
Doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. The design is terrible.

To OP Words of Warding is easy to solo especially as a Rogue, I did it with this PoS DH
Every non-rogue disagrees with you that it’s easy to solo.
The quest item stealth you, just go to the for points (they are on wowhead) click and port out. Simples.
The problem is getting to that point and not dying to 100k+ hp mobs.
I’m playing the bottom melee class in the game and managed to.
Private server: Total of 2000 players
Draenor realm: Total of 20000 players
player count is all i can think of
I am a half normal dungeon, half heroic dungeon geared paladin who keyboard turns. I can take down 117k mobs with ease as long as i pull them one by one and use cooldowns when neccesary. You can even skip most elites if you watch the patrol routes; i think i only had to kill two elites near the gate leading to the assassin spawn area and then the assassin himself. After that the invis cloak makes all other objectives and dailies easymode. It really isn’t that hard if you know how to play your class properly.
I solo all open-world group content, yes it’s possible. Don’t forget that the vast majority of players are not at this level of gameplay. The group finder is added, then the least they can do is make it functional. Right now they might as well remove it.

There are private servers out there with almost non-stop 12.000 players online… all of this without phasing.
There are only a couple of EU Retail Servers which can exceed that number, which are Draenor, Outland, Argent Dawn, Kazzak etc., by reaching to what I would assume 20k players. And with the infinite amount of cash Lizzard have at their disposal they are still not competent enough to provide the same quality services some private servers are able to.

It’s not.
The Maw doesn’t allow you to phase in and out of it through joining groups. You need to go back to Oribos, sometimes both of you, to be able to see each other in the Maw.

Yes! It’s really messed up.
Put group quests in a zone where grouping is nearly impossible … genius Blizz.
I hate blizzard technical quality, basically in this moment if i will turn warmode on i have no lag but i’m often ganked by 4-5 allies so game is unplayable, when i go warmode off i have 1,5s input lag which makes playing painful, the only place where lag is not present is instanced content, this is total BS for such huge company.
