Please free professions from soulbound raid items

Or at least make the mats account bound … I really don’t need to craft the item on my raiding toon …

I mean, they’re not wrong. I don’t see the point in soulbound raid items. Bind on Account, sure, but Soulbound items that are required for professions is a little stupid.

By the time you get enough Breath’s for that 415 boots/legs, you’ve probably already got them :stuck_out_tongue:

How about the character who earned them can only use them?

It does mean there is more choice as to what profession to have on your main, instead of just relying on an army of trade skill alts. Although Alchemy is pretty hard to beat with the trinket, transmutes, double flask time and extra potion strength.

Which part of

did you not understand?

Edit: and before someone tries to bash me for my (lack of) BfA raiding history, it was the same awful grind when these items were done in past.

Don’t worry, I have the raiding experience in BFA for the both of us

I wouldnt mind Expulsom being at least account bound.

I understood it all. How can you already have them if you can’t make them yet? If you mean something equivalent, then I understand, but you could always makes something you don’t have.

If you destroy something and get BoP crafting mats then, maybe you should get more gold for vendoring them.

I meant the ilvl itself, not the item in question. By the time you have enough to make it, you’ll usually have 415 boots/legs.

To be honest I whould not mind if the crafted gear was BoE’s. It’s not like they are anything special tbh. I whould personally never swap tradeskills for vanilla items which requires so much materials. I know others did, for unexplained reasons.

If people want to sell them/trade them/send them to alts. why not? It’s afterall just vanilla items with outrageous material requirements(or well “time gated materials”). I know that the Weapons from BC weaponsmithing was a thing, but they at the very least was somewhat unique in the design.

Although i would like it, it becomes an issue with WQ rewarding expulsom.

If you suddently get 5 expulsom per toon for a cheap material it would greatly reduce the price of expulsom Gear for everyone not having 10+ toon per account.

If they change them then it would be nice tho

BoA Expulsom 2019 !!!

Well I still have to use the profession on the right toon and max it but at least I can get the raid mats from my main.

Thank you OP for making this thread. Been thinking the same for quite a while now.

I have just two toons I play regularly with - this one focused only on M+ and a fury warrior who’s a heroic raider. While this guy has taken 3 weeks and still 20 breaths short of crafting the 415 alchemy trinket, warrior’s got 600+ breaths sitting in the bank with no use (I’m sure there are people with thousands sitting in their banks as well).

The items are from professions - they ideally shouldn’t have such a core connection with HAVING to raid in order to be able to craft them. But requiring the player to do a good quantity of raiding on that specific toon is just taking things too far imo. I mean, it’s not like ONE war campaign quest requiring a single Rastakhan kill. Takes bloody 20 heroic boss kills to get 200 breaths for that trinket, cba join pug raids for 2+ weeks (assuming a full clear) to get that - when I don’t even enjoy raiding on this toon.

It’s like, I should be able to progress my character as I’d like to without raiding (as long as I forget about any raid loot), seems pointless to gate professions behind raiding now that we have an alternative with M+. In earlier expansions, sure I get it. There WAS no M+ and the only alternative way to gear was PvP which didn’t care about the PvE craftables (which needed mats that dropped from raids). But with the M+ scene in place, this concept must be changed.

Vote for BoA raid mats.

415 engineering helms and alchemy trinkets on AH will undermine booster sellers…

I would be happy to supple them at a very modest price

But then if the professions become relevant it would be unfair for people who don’t level them. That’s just not how Blizzard works now a days, everyone has to be equal down at ground level.

Did anyone ask for the items to not be BoP? Did anyone ask for the mats to not be account bound? What’s up dude.

I am chill, nothing’s up

Top notch response right there my man. Clearly not a troll who didn’t even bother reading OP’s post before commenting.
