Please get us transmog of more types of armor for classes

Hi, guys i want write here that back on wotlk was for paladin two types of armor and today you have only one type, if you remember Paladin had Mail and Plate, i think that only for transmog maybe, you should bring back old usage of types of armor, for transmog only (maybe) and let us create better transmogs, mix like for paladin Plate with mail or clothj, or for DK Plate and cloth etc. Its not so hard to let us use transmogs but cant use items itselves. And this can be used for all classes. Paladin could use cloth as transmog too. Or Shaman could use cloth or Rogue could use Mail with leather or monk mail or cloth too. Thank you.

Second this.

To be honest, I can understand the difference in armour classes between the different classes, but when it concerns transmog, applying a visual effect, I don’t see why there are so many restrictions on gear =/

I’ve made a thread about this before but was ignored. There are so many possibilities and they are locked for no reason. Character customisation is lackluster compared to other games and while they could make up for it with more transmog options they simply don’t because reasons… Meanwhile they add heritage armor as well as cosmetic pieces(like gilnean top hat) that fits only one armor type but is transmogged on everything… Not to mention npcs wearing whatever Blizzard wants them to wear. JUST OPEN UP THE CUSTOMISATION ALREADY. Some people love this part of the game. Let them be creative. I also can’t understand why I cant use Silver Hand artifact appearance with my ret pally, but that’s not as important.

As they can already restrict the pieces of gear you can unlock, they can easily open it up again as well.
On top of that, the [Cosmetic] armour class already exists and could very well be used here. When unlocking a piece of gear, a variant of the [Cosmetic] armour class could be unlocked in the wardrobe.
As cosmetics are applicable to each “main” armour class, there would be no issue regarding that either.

While I do realize that it isn’t as easy as I make it out to be and Blizzard is making a step in the right direction by letting us hide more gear slots in 8.2, armour classes shouldn’t be an issue for transmogging anymore.

this. collecting transmog for the purpose of collecting it, rather than looking for 1 specific piece, is sooooooooo painful its unreal. especially when you’ll get drops of armor type x on a armor type y class, then armor type y drops on an armor type x class.

but like you said, cosmetic armor class already exists. anything that is legacy should be learn-able by any class.

i can get… to a point… why weapons are a bit of an issue for universal transmog, because of animations, but this is not the case with armor. for transmog purposes. and at least with weapons, warriors can collect everything except wands. that should be an easy fix to make wands learn-able on warriors.

more attention needs to go into transmog. and tbh, i dont think they are such hard fixes needed. just blizz is not bothering with them.

transmog and transmog collection/completion is a thing, and i would guess a big thing (especially during the current state of BfA). give it some love.

But then you have Artifact weapons which are already overwriting a weapon class when applied as transmog, so it shouldn’t be THAT big of a problem.

That would make a lot of people feel obligated to make a warrior for transmog runs. Just take all classes

They are taking a step in the right direction with the changes in 8.2 to which pieces you can hide, but it’s a very small step and how transmogrification has become a big part of the game for a lot of people, more effort is needed. So yea, give it some more love!

Greys. We should be allowed to transmog from greys. There are many great greys around and they are useless, transmog-wise.

True. The models are already there and serve no purpose at all!

considering a warrior can learn every weapon except wands, i would have thought anyone who does transmog runs to a certain degree would have a warrior just so that no unlearnt weapon goes unloved.

but yeah, so much foundation already seems to be in place, that i dont know why transmog doesn’t get more attention with qol’s.

I’d love to see https://www.wowhead.com/item=152857/chipped-manari-blade

Less restrictions overall would be great, they have the capability to allow all this stuff but they just don’t, it’s getting to the point where it’s unreasonable for them to not to make the change.

For me at least, cosmetics are what really make this game.

I would actually think about giving other armor types to transmog, but not all of them. Just like one more. Add mail transmog for Warrior and Paladin, cloth for Druid and DH, mail for Rogue, etc.

But what about the Mages, Priests and Locks? D:

I see nothing wrong with lifting most restrictions. If we have access to all armour types (excluding class sets), the amount of transmog possibilities goes through the roof and up into the stratosphere. More options, more looks, more FUN. No negative downside for people who don’t care and a whole load of positives for people who do. Get-it-done.

Plus, if you’re gonna let us walk around in our underwear dual-wielding 2 dead fish then why can’t I be throwing Frostbolts at a target decked out in plate gear?

Leather is the only thing that comes to mind.

Lol. So true. And even without the dead fish in mind, a mage can now look like a walking fortress, provided that he’s a dark iron dwarf. So why dwarves and not the rest of races too? They just limit the enjoyment one can have with the game and for no reason, since they’ve already defeated the purpose of restrictions themselves…

Why limit the options that much? Like Icefall said, why not let a mage transmog to plate?

Because we still can’t walk around wielding a one handed mace and an off-hand that look like frying pans. Why the hell can’t I hop around smacking people in the face with a frying pan?!

No more excuses now!!! In 8.2 we will have the option to run around naked for crying out loud… It’s perfectly lore-friendly to run around like a caveman wearing only grandpa underpants, but still I can’t wear a cloth hood or robe with my paladin(except like two items, which btw make the restrictions even more unreasonable). I hope Blizzard see this and reconsider!!! It will just make the game more fun for many people, especially those obsessed with character customisation.
