A lot of people say the pool was too big in legion. I’d like it if we started with 8, added some more but remove some from m+ if no one runs the keys. Tol Dagor for example.
which is funny because it is twice the size of all their other dungeons since tbc, as if people like sticking with the “same party” for longer and “spending time” to enjoy the game.
But nope dungeons should be short so you can do them during your break at work or whatever they said years ago to justify this nonesense.
Not just the size of it, but the fact that the bosses have actual interesting mechanics, optional hardmode, you can interact with the environment with stuff like the buffbots in junkyard to get yourself buffs, its an open ended dungeon where you can make pull as you please instead of being funneled down a corrdior, theres movement puzzles etc etc
SL = WoD 2.0 seems more and more to me.
Even plot is similar with ex warchief running to the motherbase
If there isn’t enough dungeons for m+ and general non raid progression people will quickly fade into torghasting solo = garrison camp play
I agree 8 dungeons will feel a bit short from legion and bfa but still, i’d rather have 8 dungeons with the design complexity of say Arcway, Mechagon, Court of Stars, and Return to Kara than have it be like TBC where you had 4 different dungeons in each ‘‘place’’ that all played the exact same just with different skinned mobs.
Slave Pens and the Underbog were effectively identical
So was the auchindon dungeons, mana tombs, sethekk halls, crypts etc
Mechanar, Botanica, Arcatraz
Of course, and they’ll probably add in 1-3 more over the course of shadowlands, and even if i agree with you, i believe their thought process goes like this, that since Torghast is a flexible party size endless dungeon, wich they can just add floors and bosses to whenever they want.
Because Torghast is so flexible, hey that can just add 10 new floors with new powers and enemies in a hotfix patch, they would make sure to have 8 very quality dungeons, and then simply expand on Torghasts features over the expac since it is a ‘‘endless dungeon’’ as they described
