With Gossamer Magenta Gown and Gossamer Desert Gown being in the Trading Posts recently, it would be the perfect time to give us some pants that would work with these dresses! Pants, such as the ones from Mageweave Regalia are not 100% covered by these dresses, which ruins their look in the end.
I fully support this request. There are also two alternatives to that:
- Add the option to hide pants to the transmog system
- Make items such as Gossamer Magenta Gown and Gossamer Desert Gown overwrite the leg slot, so that the pants donāt show at all when wearing one of those.
Iām much more down for option 2 then option 1, cause the thought of giving some people the ability to fully run around naked scares me.
But overall Iām for more customization, regardless of the type.
I get that, but also if people want to do that, they can just take their pants off, so theyāre not really preventing it by not allowing hidden pants. And your character has underpants, youāre essentially in a bikini.
Plus some transmog options, such as the Barbaric Loincloth are pretty much already underpants. They unfortunately still peak under the gowns though.
But if you want to prevent that fully, then if someone has both chest & pants hidden, they could gain a buff maybe, called something like āHave Some Decencyā and it could change their characterās look by putting a dress on them or something. I donāt know if thatās a good alternative though, I personally donāt mind seeing just the underpants.
The lovely red dress, and its many other colours, has this very issue; itās very annoying. The opening on the thigh gets covered or partially covered and looks janky. I would like the option to have no legs at all on transmog.
I would vote to get mini-skirts instead. My Orc Lady sure would need some of those.
I think its incredibly sexist that we donāt have micro bikinis and lacey eveningwear.
YES!!! Or just let us hide them. Itās not like we canāt hide the chest item. Our chars have built in underwear anyway.

I agree itās a horrible thing and they should support you guys by letting you wear as skimpy outfits as you like.
I agree, wanted to use that yellow dress on my hunter but the pants showing through completely ruined it.
Beat me to it. I recall someone on the forum talking about a g-string type pant from the yester year pieces that should help and does not poke through. For the life of me a wowhead search and google search only brings up mageweave leggings.
If I recall in the past it is how it actually worked with this garment and neither the leggings or the top of the pants could be seen. However during the puritan clean up something changed. Should just be by default that if this garment is equipped nothing shows as it ruins the look of the garment.
Yet another reason why I am ignoring most new mogs and TP mogs. They all have shoddy finishes.
The US has reverted to being Puritanā¦
Request DENIED!
If they are worried about āindecencyā perhaps they could add a collection of skin coloured tights. Not that that would be any less scary when you mog away your chest
But yeah, they should do something about it, it ruins these dresses.
Iāve not found anything suitable as plate to be able to hide it.
Have you tried the glorious legging, I am almost sure this should help as it is bikini style. Will log my pally and see if it does, but just assumed the dress would be a cloth transmog.
They show, itās the same issue with most armour types. The splits down the side are lost to whatever is on your legs.
Blizzard need to stop being such prudes and let us hide pants.
I also am in favour of just hiding trousers. Let me wear my best dresses to the raid!
Yea it is as I said. Not too long pre 2022, the dress itself when mogged auto hid the legs. But post they changed something and now it shows through and looks terrible. black mageweave leggings for cloth wearers is the closest I can find. I even donāt mind the stockings peeking through (kinda sexy) but would prefer if they did not.
That is also an acceptable compromise but I honestly donāt get the not letting us just simply hide legs. Itās not the only mog I would do it with.
