Since Burning Legion all Sin’dorei things IG came in two colors, Blue and Red. Why are all the new Items not available in Blue. This has happened since Burning Crusade, where we would get blue models or items yet never be able to use them as players. Think of all the Sin’dorei recolored gear for the Silver Covenant that players to this DAY cannot get.
I understand RP players are a minority in WoW but they love cosmetics, especially things like housing so why can’t one of the most popular RPed races not get any love whatsoever.
It is so depressing to have been hinting at a group then showing a group and finally completely acting like they no longer exist. It sucks, give us proper High Elves, give us blue sin’dorei gear and a final one for me personally as a leader of a Silver Covenant focussed guild, have the only major High Elven Group matter in the expansion about Elves.
We already got litterally a single line about Windrunner and in the Dalaran story, nothing but nameless npcs. I wouldnt be suprised if they thought the Covenant was a Blue Dragon group the way they line up with Kalecgos.
I agree wholeheartedly with this. Particularly after noticing a blue and silver version of the Sunwell Plateau cloth set and staff was later released but not made accessible to players when that would have been amazing RP gear for High Elves in this current era of being able to substitute your Void Elf character for this well loved and longstanding Alliance race.
Adding this paragraph in an edit: And I want to go on record in saying that the cosmetic items in the deluxe Midnight Expansion being Red and Gold OR Purple and Gold with no Blue version for High Elves is the reason i have not immediately preordered it and have to think about if it is worth buying the more expensive versions since it would not make sense for my character to use them in their current colours, as perfect and amazing as they could have been had they been available in blue as well.
Now, High Elves have always been a secondary race to the real playable races, I understand we will never be the face of an expansion so I’m hoping that the High Elf themed materials in the upcoming expansion are present but not in the advertising because right now it does feel like this race has been retconned in place of Void Elves entirely.
Vereesa being absent from the fall of Dalaran in TWW set a worrying tone for the future that The Silver Covenant do not matter to the greater story of WoW anymore, even at times where it would make sense to include them.
The High Elf fandom is still here and we do not want to be erased so I will continuously beg and pray for acknowledgement and literally anything that can be used to aid High Elf and Silver Covenant RPers to fulfil their dreams in this expansion about Quel’Thalas, the only expansion that has had an obligation to recognise ALL races that formerly lived in this region, our time to shine once more.
It would indeed be most well received if Alliance-inclined Quel’dorei players were no longer limited to Ren’dorei aesthetics. I can only speak for my self, but based on what I have heard and what I continue to hear every time the topic resurfaces is there are VERY passionate and devoted Quel’dorei role-players within our regrettably shrinking community. Those commendable people, thus far deprived of home and heritage, are making due with what they’ve been give. Let this not mislead you! This is in no way suggesting no change needs to happen. This is not suggesting what they have is good enough.
The return to Quel’Thalas - a revelation I, as a non-elf main - saw with great hope and near infinite potential - is as opportune a time as ever to make such childhood dreams happen. This being a game, its purpose being the puesuit of virtual happiness, I see absolutely no reason not to make this happen. The argument of Blood Elf players decreasing based on this carries little weight as, as I am sure you are well-aware, Quel’dorei and Sin’dorei are intimately related and share a common heritage of scholars and rangers, of heroism and tragedy, of sacrifice and sorrow.
It would, in my humble view, greatly enhance the World of Warcraft we have all come to love and enjoy, if High Elven players were given the tools necesarry to make them feel they are seen, they are being given the appropriate tools to be proper High Elves rather than pale skinned Void Elves.
