Please help me for choose a main class

Hi guys. Nearly for a year i can’t decide choose a main class. I want play that class for my entire wow career. I started this game with feral druid and started at 7.2 patch. Then i re-rolled death knight with bfa. And since 8.1 i’m playing druid and death knight. In this case i’m spending too much time in the game. I’m heavily playing mythic plus dungeons. Please help me for my decision.

Pros death knight for me

+Blood dk is too much enjoyful
+With unholy dk i’m doing too much dps at mythic plus dungeons and this makes me happy
+Cool transmogs
+I can properly play frost death knight. In this way i can play 3 specs of death knight with almost full capacity

Cons death knight for me

-Its a little bit boring in pvp and open world
-There is no healer spec and range dps spec
-Nobody wants a death knight in high keys with pug and this makes me sick

Pros druid for me

+Its my first character in the game (this effects me emotional)
+I can play all roles in the game with druid
+Feral is very enjoyful in arenas and sometimes i feel like a sniper in battle grounds. Find a hill and burst someone
+Its very mobile in open world

Cons druid for me

-I feel helpless with guardian druid, because of ıts self heal very very lower than blood death knight. If i don’t have frenzied regeneration i’m saying “oh i will die, i will die. What should i do ? PLESE SOMEONE HELP MEEE !!!”
-Nobody wants feral in pug keys, always they ask “balance ?” and when i say “nope, feral” and instantly decline.
-I can’t play balance druid properly. I don’t know why but i’m doing too much lesser dps than my sims. I’ve read every guide and watched every guide but still can’t play boomie properly.
-When i play restoration i’m getting stressed. Because of i don’t want anyone dies. I’m new at resto and generally finishing dungeons with 40k overall hps.
-I don’t like most of transmogs of the druids. And in bear form or cat form there is no matter what’s your transmog. Fortunately i have almost whole legion appearences.

These are my opinions about dk and druid. Please help me for my decision. English are not my first language, sorry for my grammar mistakes.

So sounds like you know how to play DK but not how to play a druid. Well, here’s some stuff to consider:

You say that nobody wants a DK in high keys. Now let me ask you: what do you define as a high key? Is it +15? Or is it +20? Let me tell you something: if you’re only going to do +15’s, it’s not a problem you’re a DK. And you can still push higher than that. Pugs are probably just not the way to do it, regardless.

For the druid sounds like you don’t know how to play at least two of the specs. Decide what specs you actually want to play properly, it’s not like you need to be a master at all 4. Resto druids are very valuable for m+, but if healing is too stressful for you it’s not like you should force yourself into that role just to please pugs. Like I said, pushing beyond +15 with only pugs is not a good idea.

And it’s not like you can’t have your druid for pvp and your DK for m+. You don’t necessarily need to only play one character. But like I said, if m+ is concerned, don’t consider pugs too much. You should in the end pick what you enjoy the most, I can’t tell you to pick one or the other since I don’t know more than what you’ve written, and I will never know enough to be able to make a decision with complete confidence.

when i said high keys i mean maximum +19 +20 level keys at the end of the bfa. 15-18 range is enough for me. thank you for your advices  Looks like death knight fits me more than druid. 3 enjoyful specs better than 1 enjoyful right ?

Oh dude, I understand you so much! I also cant decide for main for long time

if u want to do 15s then ur good, i did kings rest tyranical and necrotic in time this week with basicly full 460 gear minus trinkets wich are lower for effects.

the only problem i faced was the dps not being enought, i failed a +16 workshop by 1-2min, not because of a wipe but because of bosses having so much HP (at the dog boss i never saw so many box phases in my life, HE was the time consumer, will probably save lust for him next time as each box phase is a time killer). same with atal +15 missed by 3 min same for bosses HP slowing down

The druids foolishly work to preserve life, stubbornly clinging to the futility of it all. We, however, know better. We are the harbingers of the end! THE END OF ALL THINGS! EMBRACE THE CHILL OF THE GRAVE BROTHER! :skull:

If you’re worried about not being able to do m+ as a DK, just remember that at least you’re not a non-druid healer

I know that which is we can do easily 15s keys. I’ve nearly already complete whole dungeons as 14 level with my bdk. And blood is my off-spec, its items a little bit low. Thanks for your words, and i think you’re completely right about your dungeon tactics

 you’re definetly right. You make me eyes open now  thanks for your words

if you think 25k hps is low ok

guardians have very good passive sustain and one active sustain which is on par with death strike spam

I know that, guardian druid’s damage taken is very very less than blood dk. But i feel safer with bdk. I’ll try incarn and earthwarden combo with guardian. I think it will be very good and provide smooth run than bdk

really?
I just tanked a +9 on my dk, holy moly it felt like going to 20% every second and back to 100%
I don’t know if my healer was just bad or if blood dk is supposed to be giving you a heart attack with every pull. (i did 40k hps though and ended up 15k higher than my healer end of dungeon). It did not feel safe at all.
Guardian has a well rounded defense kit with massive armor and can kite also much better.

overall currently I personally rank my tanks:
pala
druid
dh/warri

dk

I don’t play brewmaster.

pala has the best pug kit in my opinion and don’t really need a healer most of the time to survive 5 mins.
Dk, dh, bm and warrior need a healer glued to you all day.
While dh and dk have huge selfhealing, it is limited to your resource so if you spike in between and have no healer to recover you, you are dead.
with pala i can heal myself 3 times to full and make myself immun to dmg for 8s if necessary.
Overall spikyness is just very bad in pugs

Pretty much this my dear. Blood is very reliant on correct DS usage and timing, and is severely punished for mistakes.

yes and you can heal full once with 2 ds but after that you need quite a while to fill your power up. if you get crapped on in the mean time you just die.
Really don’t like that

with DnD slow it also reduces alot of dmg with slight kite

by this i mean, slowly step so ur main target is hit by HS and cleave but the remaining targets have to walk to hit u

i run 20% versatility and even on 15-16s fortify i have to be carefull on some bigger packs

Coming from a person who has spent a long time trying to find ONE main as well…

The first advice I have for you is to not choose a class based on “getting declined into mythics”, because classes will constantly get balanced and no matter the class you choose you WILL at some point be the “best class” and sometimes the “worst class” in the game.

If you always go for the meta classes, then you will change class EVERY single patch.

There is a big difference between playing WoW because you wanna be a top mythic+ runner, or because you want to enjoy ONE class and its fantasy, and right now you are asking for both hehe  Unless you play WoW as a full time career that will be very difficult to do time wise.

Another important issue that most players have if they can’t figure out what to main, is that they try to find a class that does everything.

A very typical class people choose is Druid because it “does everything” hehe so it’s no surprise that you are struggling between Druid and (x) class

However in general, don’t try to find a class that does everything, and instead ask yourself which class fantasy you like the most. In the end I have found that fantasy you enjoy will make you stick to a class. Even if it doesn’t do “everything”

If you insist on going the “mythic+ pro” route, then lose the I want to main ONE class idea, because that at some point leave you playing a class that isn’t “the meta” at that particular patch.

If you REALLY want to stick to ONE class AND do pro lvl mythic+, then accept that you are gonna have to alternate between specs each patch, and that at rare times your entire class might not be seen as viable.

And now for the best answer.

Just play both classes. One of the most misguided aspects in this game is the “idea” that you HAVE to have ONE main. If you like both classes for different reasons then play both

Sounds more like a l2p issue tbh, but just in case, atleast you have way more health & recieve more healing making it easier for your healers

And the stoomina brooo

I don’t care meta classes or specs. If i want that i play dh or outlaw  just wanna invited groups, previous season i kicked +10 group with 1.8k rio because of i was feral druid. i said i’ll play dk but still i’m playing both classes  its okay for now, but later i have to choose just one class. thanks for your advices.

I don’t think so dude. For example my last two m+ runs with dk and guardian, my overall hps with bdk is 50k and 30k with guardian druid. but when i don’t have frenzied regeneration and incarn proc (for earthwarden) i’m still feeling helpless. Just trying kite the mobs and trust your healer. If your healer is a new player or something generally i’m dying. with bdk i feel much more safe than guardian. I’m still trying improve my skills. Thanks for your advices

yes, u can be way more impactfull and active as blood than guardian, i for one cant live without grip/graps and ranged stun/interrupt on my other tanks
