I’m new-buy, that’s my first character, so Chromie Time is NOT active.
I am lvl 45 now.
I was on Draenor, but that location became really too low for my level.
So, according to wowhead guide I moved to The Hinterlands and Searing Gorge.
In both locations I see NO QUESTS at all, except 1 with mark “low level” and very low xp reward, which I have done and nothing happened more.
Don’t know what to do at all.
May be, problem is, that I should close some quest on Draenor? I still have that mark “Garrison report” near mini map. But I discharged all Draenoe quest s now.
You’re probably using a classic guide, hinterlands and searing gorge were places you’d level at in classic if you were level 45.
After Draenor comes the Broken Shore continent, from the Legion expansion. Probably have to start that one in a capital city
You can play 5 levels past the zone maximum and then you start one-shooting everything and getting no experience.
So the Draenor maximum is 40 and you have reached 45.
Time to move on to Broken Isles (until 50).
Or you can skip the Broken Isles and go straight to Kul Tiras and either stay there until 60 or move to Shadowlands at some point between 50 and 60.
Once you reach 60 you go to the Dragon Isles (requires separate purchase) and level there until you reach the current level cap 70.
Those guides you are following are for those who can access chromie to up their exp rate. Since you’re a new player you’re confined to BFA. Keep leveling in those maps. Also dungeons usually give at least one level per dungeon.
For your first character WoW wants you to do BFA War Campaign as your introduction to the game, its political / social relationships and lore.
I’d suggest you head over to Kul Tiras and complete those campaigns. Some good stories there too. Also you should be able to fly there now as the Pathfinder was removed.
Not really, it’s still possible to go through all expansions EK/Kali → Outland/Wrath → Cata → MoP etc, the only downside to this is you won’t be even close to finishing a continent or expansion before you need to move on, even faster than before chromie time got added. Just 3 zones in EK will be enough to move on to Outland, where you will last until Zanga before needing to move on again.
Yes really. The guide he was following was as I said, one that needs access to chromie or it won’t work for its purpose as described by the OP.
No one disputed you can’t do other expansions as a player but if you want to level at a decent pace you are bound to BFA as a new player as the dev’s intended.
