Hi, I have a question that has probably been asked here several times, but I would like to ask you more experienced players for your advice. I started playing wowko actively from dragonflight, before that I also played but not actively, currently I am experiencing huge frustration due to the fact that I cannot choose the class that I would like to have as my main class. I’ve tried many classes but I keep jumping from one to another and can’t move on. I liked Hunter the most (specifically Survival is currently at the bottom of the dps list) and I’m still afraid when playing Hunter that I will be rejected in the end game (due to the fact that I heard that he is quite hated character and not in high demand). So when I sum it up in questions.
1.) Would you please advise me on a class that is fun and would be played in the end game as well (I don’t care if it’s hard or easy as long as I enjoy it)
2.) How is hunter and especially survival at the moment? (is it still an unwanted class?)
Dont play hunter, thats all I can say. Blizz hates hunters, they wont be good in nearest future. Same goes for FDK, Enhancement Shamy, Boomkin. If you want to have a chance to get in end game, as dps for example, you need to be very good at it, thats because if you are not, you will see how toxic WoW community is 
Play Feral. Its getting, what it seems, good changes. It does good dmg, you can always switch to tank or healer if your dps career is failing.
I’m playing survival myself and think it’s fine for m+ and raiding right now. I’m keeping up with the other classes just fine. But I’m also a casual player, playing with other casual “old family” people so we don’t take this as serious as most seem to do.
But also, the whole “Don’t play class x as it is weak right now” will change. It can change next patch, it can change next hotfix, it can change next expansion. No one knows.
So just play the class you enjoy, and find like minded people that play for the fun of it instead of min maxing. Personally I think it’s insane to change your class the whole time just to keep up with the meta.
And truth be told, majority of those people. Especially the loud ones still suck even though they have the “current best class”. So don’t worry about it. Play what you like, it’s your time, your money. Don’t be forced to play something you don’t like because of what others say.
The thing that must be also considered is that you are able to do the most important life saving mechanics with hunters. People love hunter aspecially for raids because they can be used as a mechanic saver. You can solo soak mechanics with your turtle to save group damage and save a lot of healing. Beside that bm is really a nice way to progress through raids since people will try to get tactics done. This means people will strugle doing optimal dps while learning the fight while you can do your rotation while moving. With time surely your dps will fall down with people learning the fight and doing better rotations. For m+ dungeons MM is just doing fine. I don’t know how its gonna look when they remove double tap but if you enjoy it it’s just fine. Sure there are meta classes which do insane amount of dmg etc. but meta can always change. Just try to enjoy the class, maybe the class fantasy… Sometimes its getting hard to play with pug groups. But the best runs will be done with a group of your friends anyways. Sorry for language failures.
