Yeah, saw that interview. However, assuming that they are really early in development, an option could still be added. So we should keep insisting on this DH-like form suggestion.

Exactly this. I don’t understand why folk want to be a dragon but then look like a human. Yeah, you want the flashy spells and gimmicks but the whole point of the race is that it’s a dragon!
Don’t think Blizzard should change from their current plan regarding this.

Because what they really want is to play an Evoker without having to leave thier human/elf comfort bubble all while hiding behind cries of “player choice”

Agreed on that. Besides, you don’t always have to like the new class.
That’s the race. You play the race, you don’t play it’s secondary form. It’s an established tradition since the beginning of the times.
The same way you can ask why Valeera is wearing such bright red clothes if her fighting style is stealth. So, I guess bright design and fantasy attributes are over logic in this game which is perfectly fine to me.
But there are many classes that some races can’t be chosen too. Let’s say I am an average gigachad Tauren enjoyer, and I want to play rogue. But I don’t want to leave my comfort of playing Tauren, that’s what I like. So what then, blizzard should add Tauren rogues?

The thing is - it’s not a regular human. I’d agree with you if their visage form looked exactly like a regular High Elf or Human. It’s not the case, though. The way I personally see it, we’re given a brand new race tied with a visage form that could even be considered an allied race. The Draconic customizations look so cool and wonderful that it’s just a pity we’ll never see them cause we’re always entering combat.

Would you prefer something like a Demon Hunter that only enters into their Demon form when they cast a certain spell?
I just can’t see the need for a dragon to fight in a Human-like form. It just doesn’t make much sense to me.
I think alot of people would prefer it that way, personally I’d love for us to be like the Aspects and have Dragonflight as a racial and shift into dragon form for breath attacks and go straight back into humanoid form, I know Blizz used size as an excuse but player character have always been smaller than NPC’s so it’s not really a great excuse on their behalf.
Don’t get me wrong I am not unhappy with current Drakthyr I would just prefer my idea.

Actually, yes - to me that would be the ideal solution, cause I do want to see their original Draconic form as well, of course.
I understand that, and could actually agree with that to some extent. If the “DH” solution can’t be done for whatever reason, then I’d settle for a special toggle that, if optionally activated, would make my character automatically revert to visage form, without needing to continously spam the ability every time a fight is over.
I know it might sound like a childish nuisance, but it does make a lot of difference in the way you play.
I’m afraid this thread is kind of pointless. OP’s request will never happen. Even the whole new spell animation is bound to the draconic form

While I love elves, The aspects don’t take on the Elven form, it looks Elven but its more Draconic, I am so excited to play with the Jewellery in CC.
im not totally updated on the new class, but it only belong to the drakee race thingy??
If thats the case im not gonna even try it. i dont like the race. it has no factor in it.
I’ve voiced my preference before on how I would have loved for them to be more like the aspects because player characters are smaller than NPC’s anyway the excuse they used on size is not a good enough excuse imho but Blizz are stubborn and they won’t give the community what they want without it being a compromise.
Will I play the class? yeah sure definitely, Will I be 100% satisfied with it? Nope not at all until visages are made like the aspects and Dragon form is a proper Dragon used for specific abilities and as a Mount.
But I’m realistic in thinking what I want wont ever happen, Blizz claims to be all about the community but they couldnt be further from the truth with that quote.
To me that sounds like there can never be enough coronavirus
