TLDR; Make enchants on gear per spec so we can have the preferred enchant depending on the current spec healing/dps/prot etc without the need to reenchant constantly.
I’m playing Holy Paladin mostly this tier but I also play retribution for some bosses when the extra healer isn’t needed or if I’m pugging etc. I would also go Prot for M+ if I could easily swap enchants. But doing DPS/Prot with Intellect and 5% mana enchant on my legs for example isn’t great. I like to swap specs but I can’t optimise my gear since I need healing focused enchants for raiding.
Since we don’t need a completely separate set of gear these days it would make sense that when we change spec, the enchants (and gem slots maybe?) can be different without have to reenchant every time. We have different talents/action bars and the new helm enchant swaps per spec so this isn’t that different.
So enchant your gear for main spec, then when you switch to offspec, the enchants are gone, you enchant for that spec. Then when you swap specs you have 2/3 different sets of enchants etc. This seems easier than making enchants for each slot in a similar vein to the new helm enchant.
This is why I keep : 1 extra pair of legs enchanted, Weapons Enchanted, Cloak Enchanted and trinkets in my bag.
In my character portrait I have setup DPS , Healer, Tank Spec and saved those with the items I want to swap out already enchanted and gemmed if necessary. That way I just have to change spec open my character portrait and with a click of a button the items swap out.
If I understood your request it seems this is less cumbersome than always carrying enchants and re-enchanting every time I change spec.
Well it sounds like a nice money saver. But at the same time this would make another crafting proffesions more useless again as they dont get to sell as much anymore if enchants change for speccs. And currently it costs way too much time and gold to level up proffesions to justify that
If we still had the old proffesions then i would have said yes, but with the current costs for leveling up proffesions being able to sell less just makes leveling it up not worth it even more. Less people will level it up and people who do level it up will probably ask higher prices then
