OK, I’m writing this in customer support because as a customer I feel violated by how ignore system works in game and ruins my gameplay experience.
Long story short - someone can ignore you and still send trashtalk to you until you ignore him back.
With no way to retort, since he ignored you. If someone wants to ignore you, he shouldn’t be able to send you any whispers. If someone wants to trash talk you, he should be ready to take a comeback. Such systems work on many websites/games and I really don’t know why it doesn’t work like that in WoW. This is a garbage system…
If someone trash talks you in a whisper while putting you on ignore it only makes you want relog alt and trash talk him back.
I believe this is something incredibly simple to code and should be implemented as soon as possible.
Ignore now ignores all characters on the wow account, this was introduced in 9.1.5
If you have feedback on the ignore function, you should submit it in game, Customer Support do not have any impact on development.
OK, your point is vaild but screencapping the game UI was pretty toxic of you ngl. Everyone and their mother knows that function.
Sadly, things don’t get changed until you wave all the flags.
PS: so “nice” you can’t even log an alt now. So the trash talker is now extra protected to allow him uninterrupted, guilt-free abuse.
No, I was not trying to be toxic at all… SO MANY players have not been able to find that function in game and instead get diverted to the US forums… there was even one such occurence today.
I have that screenshot saved purely because of the amount of players who have needed help finding it.
Not if you put them on ignore, which is certainly the easiest and quickest option to prevent further toxic messages coming your way.
I do report them, but does it really work? Well, it doesn’t happen often but today I played 2 arenas with a balance druid who played garbanzo and… ttrash talked me… he put me on ignore and sent several messages how bad I am (with censorable insults I can’t reproduce here)… pretty toxic and annoying. I reported him but I’m afraid it won’t do anything to him and I feel just bad. I was insulted, imho for no reason, because he objectivvely played poorly and was less xp’d than me
Yes, but players aren’t instantly banned on one players say-so. A GM has to review the report, and the context (from Blizzards logs) in which the report was made.
Then they will decide if its just a player being overly sensitive, or if the report is justified. If it was justified then and only then will account actions be considered.
