Please move Chromie

It takes way too long to change and deactivate timewalking, especially for Alliance players. Not so bad with flying, but you don’t get that until level 30.

Please put Chromie closer to the Auction House or have her give us an hourglass or something that lets us change our timeline on the fly. I’m really tired of having to go all the way back there just to turn it off and return to the default phase.

Chromie is like a 30 second walk from an AH alliance side, she is further away from the AH by foot in Orgrimmar

Chromie is literally on the opposite side of Stormwind from the main AH, whereas she’s in the section of Orgrimmar immediately adjacent to the main square.

It’s not something that particularly bothers me, since I don’t change which xpac I’m in a whole lot, but I can see how it might be annoying if you’re constantly having to doing it.

I suppose if you’re dead set on using a specific AH it could be annoying but really… just use the other AH for 30 levels. Theres a bank and heroes bord as well. If you’re just spamming dungeons it really doesn’t matter.

She’s there because of the Visitor’s Center and they’re not going to move that.

They are located near embassies from what I can see.

I meant that! Embassies yes!

How did I land on visitor center

Chromie sits there because it has less lag than being near the main AH, that way she can AFK while playing Heroes of the Storm.

It’s canon btw.

Guys. don’t be so afraid of Dwarven District. Yes, it is smokey, Gnomes roams around, and the Deeprun Tram makes strange noises, but I can assure you that the area is completely safe.

Or if you’re really afraid then get yourself a Darkmoon Cannon and launch yourself to Chromie from the harbor/cathedral (it really needs to be a toy I’m tired of trying to get it every time on a new character).

the AH you use doesn’t matter though, it’s fine

OP was almost certainly using the AH as “The place where people in SW congregate”, since the AH doesn’t change in any way based on your Chromie time.

Speaking as someone who uses the other AH and Bank instead, there’s only ever like 8-10 people max in the Dwarven District. The Trade District is the hub of SW.

You’re about to embark on a 25-30 hour long levelling adventure and walking for another 2 minutes is what ruins it?

Ok.

Does Chromie even have a purpose besides giving you the starter quest (which you can get elsewhere) and interrupting your questing at 50 to teleport you back?

You can start any of the expansions at any level, they all scale, chromie time or not :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Oh I forgot dungeons. If you just want to spam dungeons, surely just park next to her. I don’t see why we should need that though, why can’t we just lfd any random expansion dungeon?

Chromie is located at whatever Embassy and the Horde embassy just happens to be near the door.

On the bright side, fresh Allied races can easily talk to Chormie near their entrance to Stormwind

I think the logic with the embassies is that it’s near the portals for allied races.

and why do you need to be around people as you queue up and tab out?

I’m a roleplayer so I need to switch phases in between levelling. The Trade District is closer to the flight path and an innkeeper, which would make it a lot more convenient. There might be an innkeeper in the Dwarven District, but no flight path. You would still have to waddle all the way back to the Trade District.

If Chromie really can’t be moved, I would really like an item to switch timelines anywhere, or simply the ability queue for any dungeon in any timeline.

I really like both of these ideas tbh. The “switch timelines anywhere” could be tied to an achievement if you wanted to make acquiring it more of a challenge. Something like completing a certain number of zones in each selectable timeline (Which you could track via the individual zone achievments).

It’d still be something for new players to work towards, and would encourage them to try each of the old expansions, but wouldn’t inconvenience experienced players who want to level through specific quests/story without having to return to SW/Org every time. For example I’m currently leveling a Mechagnome, and trying to do it mainly through Gnome themed quest chains, so I’m not sticking exclusively to any single xpac.

I like that idea very much. Exactly like the Mythic+ achievements that give you dungeon teleporters
