Please nerf Crucible ASAP blizzard

This fight is ridiculously favored for ranged, specifically shadow priests/warlocks. Right now people are just stacking theses classes and without them (esp on the mythic difficulty) well goodluck downing any boss.

So for now guilds have opted not even to try cruci mythic, because it’s overtuned and so heavily ranged favored and not everyone has the time to gear up a priest or warlock in 1 week.

Nerf it so we can get it done before the new raid

to be honest, i don’t mind. I don’t like the instance per se and would bench myself if i can. ^^

I’ve not been in there yet or even read up on it, but this is in the hotfix notes but may not be live yet.

  • Oblivion Tear targeting now prioritizes ranged players.

Will that make a difference?

It wont change much, it just means ranged players have to do more mechanics, but this wont change just how heavily ranged favored that whole raid is or the fight. also thats just for uunat, has cabal got any hotfixes?

afaik, they’re stacking those classes due to dotting and pure numbers, so “ranged” is a big stretch.

Yes it’s overtuned but boda is also ranged favored. Blizz was clear, they don’t want people to go tunnel dps, and the only way they have to do this is by forcing people to move and avoid stuff/swap targets, and this is always more against melee than ranged. No suprises here.

Dungeons and Raids

  • Crucible of Storms
    • The Restless Cabal
      • The damage from Power Overwhelming has increased to 1000% (was 300%).
      • Zaxasj the Speaker will now prioritize attacking players over pets.
    • Uu’nat, Harbinger of the Void
      • Oblivion Tear targeting now prioritizes ranged players.
      • Hunger for the End no longer heals the caster upon reaching a stack count of 10 or more in Mythic difficulty.
      • Unstable Resonance now checks for negative collisions after a very short delay instead of immediately upon being applied on Mythic difficulty.

Havent seen the raid yet (yeah i mean lfr , i know that doesnt mean much) have queued for it about 15 time and i never got a fresh run of it. when its my first time ina new raid i cba to start halfway trough

Once WF has been claimed, then the nerfs will come in.
They always do.

On the topside however, this is a good time to be a havok DH, because your magic debuff will grant you an almost exclusive raid spot. (Unless there’s a better HDH in your group)

Good idea we will nerf the longevity of melee in this encounter by 50%

Going LFR/Nm/Hc was torture enough, our guild isn’t touching it on Mythic any time soon. We will just carry on with BoD

A good time to be 1 havoc DH only. Because the debuff doesn’t stack

None of this matters. Dotters are too powerful for literally any kind of fight and on top of that they bring much needed utility (roots, gates and so on). It’s a big advantage to be range, when you also do 10+% more dmg it’s a nobrainer to bench all melee except for DH brought JUST for 5% dmg buff.

It’s not the problem with raid itself. It’s the problem with dotters once again.

Hmm well they don’t really stack priests and warlocks primarly for the DPS they bring you know. They use warlocks and Shadow priests because they can control the whispers of power debuffs by themselves aka. dispel themselves.

Dispelling this debuff on yourself ensures that it won’t kill anyone by dealing damage to the healers, aswell as it makes it possible for practicly the whole raid to use the debuff to their advantage. Mechanics in that fight are not hard at all even for melee… however no melee can dispel themselves except dwarves and paladins(by bubbling) aswell as rogues, Im unsure if anti magic shell works.

Then it’s also about the shadow priests double control. Silence + Stun ensures a easier time controling the adds on both fights.

1 mage and 1 DH, rest SP or locks (teleports are also very handy) with your tanks being monks. Yeah… this is the most ranged fight and teleport class favored fight I have ever seen, and especially on mythic. It’s stupid when Rastakhan could demand you to dump melee and have people log their ranged on progress (spirit realm on mythic) but this is laughable, 1 melee.

Yesterday i attemped the LFR version of it.

Needless to say that i had to quit after 1 hour of no progress.

But this picture i believe gives a better idea of how it felt:

Not totally true about SP.
best progress on Uunat mythic is 6 Warlock and 4 Shaman elem. 1 or 2 SP.

Yes we are so happy that they made fights like they did. We already get a nerf because of it. Not because sp is OP in any way but because fights are stupidly designed to favour multidot.
Lets make a dot heavy fight and scratch our head when classes that suppose shine on those type of fights pulls ahead…alot. What a damn suprise. Quick nerf for class come and left us even more dogno state in other aspect of the game except Multidot raid fights.

Same for lock. Affly in bfa is something like a unicorn…nowhere to be found and all of the sudden they are on w1 progress. Do they need a nerf? I dont think so.

Also why it is ok for melees to run rampart in m+ and they doesnt do anything about it.

I had fun doing it in LFR. That only hard part of it is waiting for new people after 1 wipe.

How long did it take on average? Because we simply couldn’t pass through the first phase of the 1st boss :stuck_out_tongue: I don’t wanna imagine how long it would actually take for the whole raid.

Guess i was unlucky with that group.

3 tries for Cabal, 2 for Uunat
