Please reconsider capping Trader's Tender!

It comes across as the pinnacle of ‘FUN DETECTED’, not letting players buy everything on the Trading Post if we want to. What’s the point of capping it?

It’s gonna feel so disappointing to not be able to buy everything even if I worked hard enough to get all the tokens and more. :frowning: For a lot of the playerbase, WoW is a collection game as much as it is a hardcore dungeon and raiding game.

Of course I know they will be rotating the stock but nobody knows yet when stock will be rotated back, 6 months? 12 months? Nobody wants to wait that long, and some people have have even stopped playing by then.

Uncap the Trader’s Tender while you still have time pls Blizz <3

No!! This is a terrible idea…we shouldnt be feeding peoples addiction for grinding. There would def be some people who would take it too far.
Besides which its a retention ploy. It wouldnt be any use to keep you subbed if you could buy everything all at once!

Everything about WoW is a grind already! Not letting us grind in a grinding game comes across as just plain weird and out of place

Again, its a retention ploy. The idea is you keep subbing so you can buy from the store each month.
I imagine a few things will show up on the Blizzard store for real money in between though but at the end of the day its to keep you playing so letting you buy everything would make it a fail!

Were you aware that you and me and everyone else pays monthly for the game anyway, and did so before the Trading Post? I think it’s less of a retention ploy and more of a ‘thanks for playing, here’s some free stuff’.

Maybe you’re right about things being put onto the store being the reason why you can’t buy everything, I hope not though T_T

Keep you playing longer.
Obviously.
That’s the entire “time gating” nonsense they always do…

Tbh maybe I am naive, I was genuinely confused why they would cap something that’s just for fun - sounds like you are right though with the timegating :frowning:

With an uncapped currency, not only do you promote people to do the stuff, you also get people to do it at theyr own pace.

This thing rotates monthly.? You can only prevent one item or so from not rotating…

Why is Valor and Conq capped?
Why is the catalyst so late?
Why are the sparks so slow to obtain?
Why are the Elemental Chaos’s so limited on alts?
Why are they only making changes to the raid lootsystem 8 weeks in, while it had the same problem in Beta and PTR already?

It’s all to get ppl too play longer.

I agree.
You don’t need absolutely everything from the post. Pick the few things that you really want and get them. It’s cosmetics so pretty much optional stuff.

Etxept in the traders post its irrelevant because every month there is a rotation.

The only thing that this thing induces, is FOMO.

Omg it’s the fun police. It’s just cosmetics which people love collecting, 99% of people will get the mount and maybe one small 100 tender transmog, because we only will have 1000 to spend. There’s really not a lot of options by limiting it to 1000 and makin the mount cost 900

This argument has more merit.
There probably could be some more choice, options are good.
But we don’t really need absolutely everything in the first month. Then nobody would be doing it in month two or three.

But you’re not getting everything in the first month.

What you see first month is only a small percentile of what will be available overall from TP.

Don’t worry, I’m sure the currency will be available on the in-game store eventually.

It’s the “Gotta collect everything” players that will be targeting.

Personally, I don’t mind it being capped.

I imagine it’s to stop people burning through the content too quickly.

I’m not too sure if it’s supposed to be content. I mean yes, there’s stuff to do, which by definition is content.

But I think it’s really to reward players for having active Game Time. but rather than giving everyone the same reward, players are allowed to choose what they want from a selection that changes month by month.

I imagine it will be designed and updated regularly enough so that nobody will ever be able to collect every item. Which I don’t personally have an issue with, but I’m sure there are certain people who will. For that reason, it wouldn’t surprise me seeing the currency on the store eventually.

If everyone collected everything in one go, they wouldn’t go back to do it again.

My guess is that the items will vary and will come round again.

Yes, they said that would happen when they first announced it. It’ll change up each month but will come back eventually. But they also said this is the start of a new feature, which gives me the impression they have updates planned.

I also heard somewhere that you’ll be able to hold onto 1 item until the following month (don’t have a source).
