Please release SOD at an earlier time in EU

I know the standard practice is 11PM GMT UK // 12 CET, but I would like to plead if Bliz could look to move the start time a little forward for EU, if just by maybe 2 hours to give us that extra time as it starts quite late for us.

Just aim for Friday morning. There will be some launch problems and it gets delayed anyway until the middle of the night.

Preferably delay it by 6 hours so it starts at a reasonable time.

It’s gonna be like this:
00:00 CET → Queue of 5 Hours
05:00 CET → Finally inside, created character, loaded in → SERVER SHUTDOWN IN 15:00
05:20 CET-> Emergency Maintencance until at least 07:00 CET
07:00 CET → Servers are coming back up but all layers in the starting zones are so overcroweded it takes forever to get a mob tag
15:00 CET → Coming home from work, no queue, everyone already moved out of the starting zones, can easily catch up

They wont change this, then they would have done it a long time ago but we are not gonna get it before US and they wont change the times to fit EU better anyways, dont really matter imo even if I wanna play when it comes out its no rush due to the lvl cap.

In the old days (2005-2009) they did have different times, and I am pretty sure us got it some hours earlier than eu, 14 hours early or smth.

People are so desperate to get “World first lvl 25!” :joy_cat:

Desperate to get my characters created before my faction gets possibly locked.

Imagine Alliance gets faction locked, yet noone comes to play for reserved characters. How will they calculate offliners? First come first served? GL on having any stable roster for 40ppl raids. Getting into the raid would be like winning lottery in queue line.

HC servers were available straight away after 12:00 AM cet at launch, a bit of queue and you were on the server in 5 minutes

If the Horde druid cat-form doesnt look so lame (horns on head of a lion looking thing) in SoD as it did back in vanilla, I will contemplate going Horde this time (which will help the balance).

Yeah should be like 9PM GMT

Harsh but fair! :joy:

The times will be dictated due to logistics not decisions based on likes/dislikes. I’m sure they’ll be issues but getting into game straight away isn’t necessary and can have its own issues, as some have eluded to above. I’m sure you’ll be fine when you are able to get in. We’re not going anywhere.

I feel u OP…
Thursday is my day off without children and wife at home :weary: why is blizzard not respecting my private timetable?!
But seriously though, not gonna happen

Release on prime isn’t a good idea.

That would mean changing the whole worldwide release time, not something Blizzard will do.

Just book the next day off work. That way you will get to 25 on the first day.

I’ve already done so, but some players probably cannot

The queues are going to last into the next day anyways.

The time of launch is near perfect for myself as I decided to take friday off and just go to bed asap thursday in preparation for the launch.

Thank you Bliz <3
