for the safety of everybody mental health in both Arena and Blitz, please remove Double Death Grip
Also make chains of skill dispellable
Either that or give other classes 2 stacks of that too liek for example 2x demonic circle or mortal coil
For the love of god lets not increase the CC inflation any further.
fully agree here. Even when i play a dh or rogue i canât run away from a dk with all my stuns, speed boosts, anti-cc etc. I canât even imagine how other classes with less utility dealing with this garbage. I saw people stucked at one place for entire matches because of dks constantly using grips, slows, roots and stun
Hey thatâs why i started playing dk in the first place.
As shadow eaven with one grip i would never get away but yes this needs too happen
Chain of skill down too 30% slow
One grip amd ot needs too Dr with other Dks
Make anti magic shell just a normal shield so caster can attack it
This is where I need to stop you. I dont play DK, but DK is an anti-caster melee. Lets not change that.
DK is (usually) weak to melee.
remove double blink
remove double charge
lets remove everything thats double for mobility
then and only then can we talk about removing double grip
Could be an idea but tbh as sp, 2x more of nothing is still nothing xD
There shouldnât be a hard counter like that anyway, as caster actually dk is almost unkillable.
Iâm down to keep classez/specs different with their own strength/weakness but it shouldnât be all black or white either.
I get it, but there kind of has to be. The modern design of wow is an attempt of not making it, and the problem is that it streamlines classes to the point where choices dont matter, and if so, why have classes? Might as well turn us all into Fortnite characters with the same abilities.
While being hardcountered sucks, an MMORPG is fundamentally different to other pvp games, and its a good design imo. Learning to play this game is to understand your classes strengths and weaknesses, and to know what classes your good at killing with your class
Great example is old WoW; very few classes had a casting interrupts, so casters could cast versus a lot of opponents. Welcome to modern WoW where everyone has a low-CD interrupt, hope you get to cast anything .
It is unfair in BG. I try to run away from a pack, not from a DK.
You know a antimagic shield that act like absorb would go against meeles and make DK there stronger where its been needet and weaker vs caster what would be also needet
Sounds like a win win
Yes letâs not change brainless spec design which inherently counters an entire category of specialisation, what a great idea!
I have mained rogue since Vanilla.
Talk to me more about not allowing hard counter designs to classes. Because people are perfectly fine every time a hard counter to rogue exists
Make chains a 3-4 rune cost ability while at it.
I refuse to play blitz BG due to DKs. Itâs dumb as hell trying to play a priest in there if they decide to shut you down.
Youâve mained Rogue since vanilla and you donât understand that the hard counter to RogueâŚis Rogue? Wild!
On a serious note I think the whole time Iâve spent playing the only time I feel a Rogue is being hard countered is Assa vs Survival and Demo v Sub, and the latter is a spec which everybody except its players have an issue with.
So perhaps you can enlighten me. Please tell me some of the hard counters to Rogue in the game right now which is to the same extent that UH DK counters casters which apparently nobody has an issue with.
So true, hard counters suck and are in the way of skillful gameplay.
I donât wanna struggle versus a beginner just because he just picked a counter for me as a class.
For over a decade Iâve generally been okay with DKs (read: Unholy) being âthe anti-casterâ, even when that identity has caused them to be incredibly anti-fun to play into. Iâve even happily defended them in seasons where theyâre weak in their niche, such as Shadowlands where AMS was frequently being blown through in a single GCD by the likes of Destruction Warlocks, Rets and even Rogues.
That said, I think TWW is the first expansion where I legitimately donât even bother trying to interact with them on a wizard. Outside of their offensive CDs itâs easier just to pretend that they donât exist. Weâve reached a point where they arenât just âthe counterâ, but where dying to magical damage on a DK is a conscious decision.
Itâs funny though, because for all of their uptime and magical mitigation and effective self healing, if you put a Fury Warrior on them they still die with absolutely zero counterplay.
Some things never change, kek.
