Seriously, what’s with all the timegates?
Blizzard, I just don’t get it. What have we done to deserve these constant timegates?
Horrific Visions are back in 11.1.5, which is cool. But first, they were timegated right at launch. And now that they’re finally live, the upgrade system for them is timegated too!
It’s like, why? This is old content, reimplemented. We just want to play/complete it. Let us play it at our own pace instead of making us wait around for weeks to unlock everything. It’s frustrating and honestly, it just feels unnecessary.
I pay to play this game, I’ve accepted the major bugs. But now you are just making me pay to wait.

Yeah. I would back grind Horrific visions when full open upgrade.

Because the tree makes it over 500% easier?
Content getting easier over time isn’t timegating.

If things weren’t time gated, World of Warcraft would become a dead game when us sweats were done farming.
And hey, I have several toons, do you mean I am suppose to max them out in a couple of weeks?
That would put me under immense stress.
It is 100% better this way where I as a player can cap out my characters each week and after a couple months they’ll all be maxxed out.
Seems quite a few of us would prefer to just grind it out and be done.

Are any players doing the Visions for fun?
I get bad flashbacks just thinking about how horrible some of the affixes were, so there’s no way I’m going back until I can steamroll the new version.
I am, I really liked them back then as well.
Someone must find this stuff fun. I think it’s awful. It’s recycled content and awful content at that.
Some players already done a full clear run, with 5 masks. Not even a week after the release of Horrific Visions. The timegating is irrelevant.
Finding it immense fun trying to get through on 4-5 masks currently.
If it were 500+% easier (Which is what tree unlocks provide) I would simply be going through the motions.
Either we complain that it timegated and it takes too long, or its not timegated and its complaining theres nothing to do.
It’s an MMO thing. Play other games. Not worth getting frustrated over a game.
They’ll remove it on Wednesday, some of it at least.
